Yes, I changed the book title to Dream One-shots. Dream's bottom and all, but sometimes I just like none shipping angst <:

Dream grits his teeth, pure agony coursing through his swollen body. He was known as an embodiment of a god, a force to be reckoned with... but he was still a human with limits, and his limit seemed to be at its peak. The blond merely looked at his members' piercing glares; hateful stares and pity gazes. Until he noticed something:

Everyone was against him.

They teamed up just to beat him.

Everyone got together just to do it...

Dream smiled, dropping his netherite sword.

'I did it, mother...'

Puffy gasped, out of breath from running the whole time. She needed to get there ASAP before the members could do a sin they'd never forget. But when she got there, no one was in sight. Where were they? The blonde looked around the entire area, losing hope until she found... Sapnap. She ran straight to the raven, still out of breath.

"S-sap... Where's Dream?" She asked. What the response she thought would be a lot better than this; Sapnap gave a sorrowful glance, looking away immediately. The female's eyes widen in horror, running straight to the community house, Sapnap following close behind. Almost immediately she got greeted by an entire crowd, just an individual; sitting in the middle.

The female approached the individual. All eyes on her, as her own fixated on the body. Once she saw it directly, her breath hitched.

It was him

Puffy dropped to the floor, eyes wide as she looked at the body, tears waiting to fall like rain on a summer day. She shook her head, still finding it unbelievable, yet... She can clearly see; a broken mask, bloodied blond hair, the once beautiful emerald eyes she'd known to love all gone The blonde closed her eyes, biting her lips.

[Dream gave a sad glint before hugging his mother, "I promise!" He beamed, pulling away. "I'd do anything to make you happy!" His mother smiled, whipping her tears. "Thank you." She smiled, patting the other blond.]

Puffy only sobbed harder at that promise... "You did it my baby duckling..." She softly whispered, gritting her teeth as more tears fell. "You brought them all together.." She clenched her fists, trying not to rage at the guilty eyes the others give her. The mother gave one last look at those once bright emerald eyes.

"But at what cost..."

Prompt: Dream made a promise to his mother that he'd get everyone together in one way or another. But his mother - puffy - didn't know that this was the way it'd go. The way where it cost his life.
