 Illumina POV (YES- IM TRYING OUT POVS-) 

 This place holds a lot of memories for me, especially this tree. 

 "I'm back, Dream. I fulfilled my promise." 

 We've been neighbors since I can remember. We're best friends forever. This tree witnessed our joy. 

 "Catch me fucker!"  - Dream

 "I'll get you!" - Illumina

 How I wished we never grew up. If only there was a way to freeze time. But time passed by and we went to the same school. My young heart always tells me to be there for you. And you always considered me your hero. But it was sad. I never told you you're the one who saved me and inspired me to fulfill my dreams. Soon, we were in high school that was when I saw the changes in you. But sadly, we weren't classmates anymore. You had your group of friends and I had mine. But we would meet right after. That tree... Became more important to us. It was the place were we laughed. Cried. Built our dreams. And most of all it witnessed the friendship we shared. indeed, only time can tell what fate awaits us. It was the summer before we went to college. In my first year, I survived loneliness and the adjustment period because of Dream's messages. Every time I miss him, I'll just look at the wallpaper of my phone. I couldn't protect him anymore, but I'm glad he's fighting back. In my first two years of college, I was able to go home during vacations and we always kept in touch. But after that, things became different. Time passed by like falling leaves. The time I promised to Dream eventually came. I knocked on his home door. 

"Hi, ma'am! Where's Dream? I came to surprise him." 

 "Ahm. Well, he requested me to give you this letter. But he wanted you to open it under the tree. He's waiting there."

His mother gave me a note before I went to go to the tree and surprise Dream.

Instead, he was the one who surprised me. 

Dream Rever 

August 14, 1999 - July 9, 2021, 

Loving son. Wonderful brother and friend.
Your memory will always stay with us.

 With sorrow in mind, I opened his letter; 

 I know, at the present, you already fulfilled your dream. That's why you now have the time to come here. Please don't blame anyone for not telling you the truth about my condition. Before graduation, I was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. I thank God that I was able to graduate and pass the license board. But I can feel I will not last long, and I don't wanna hinder your dreams... That's why I... Made everybody promise to not tell you. It's alright to grief about the loss, that's normal. But after that, move on. You have to, for our friendship and for our dreams that are now solely yours. You know... I hid the truth because I love you... And... It's the only way I can say I truly love you without embarrassing myself... Thank you...

It hurt me... So much... I was hoping to propose to you one day. That's why I was working so hard... In your letter, you did tell me to go on, and I did. 

Now in the future, my only regret is I never told you how much I truly loved you. So I just have to make sure the next time I fall in love. I have to tell him how much I love him. And I have to thank you for that lesson, Dream.
