Chapter 23

          Dumalaw ang sina Melissa, Aria, Krista, Mia at Brix sa hospital. They were in the family room in the ICU unit. May dala dalang bag si Krista.She handed it to Leila.

She had a confused look in her face." What is this?"tanong nito and looked into the bag. 

"Clothes, towel, toiletries for you,"sagot ni Krista." So you can freshen up and change."Dinalhan niya si Leila ng damit para makapagpalit ito.

" I know you dont want to leave so I was planning to take you to the doctor's lounge and maybe you can shower there and change. The resident doctors usually uses them. And dont even say no. You need to look good when Troy wakes up,"sabi ni Mia.

Mia had to add that last part pang pa kagat kay Leila or she will never agree to leave Troy's side. And it looks like she will agree because she sighed. Then she took a deep breath.

"Okay. I was just thinking about it anyway. About taking a shower and change clothes. I have been wearing this since..... i dont know,"she conceed. " But..........'

" No buts," Melissa intervened." One of us will sit with Troy while you and Mia are gone.......and yes, we will call as soon as there is any development,okay." 

Walang nagawa ito but to say yes. Mia then took Leila to one of the doctor's lounge with a shower and stayed there until she was done showering and changing.

"Whew!!! That feels good. I never realized how much I needed it,"sabi ni Leila while they were walking back to the ICU." Good thing you guys are there to keep me in check."

" Girl, we have to take care of each other. You have a lot of things of your mind so we are to keep an eye on you as well,"Mia said smiling.

 Pagbalik nila ay sa family room muna sila dumiretso. Pagbukas ni Mia ng room ay sinalubong agad siya  ni Melissa at Aria.Biglang kinabahan si Leila.

"What's wrong?"agad niyang tanon, heart on her throat.

Melissa's face brightened."They are moving Troy in a private room,"excited na sabi nito

Hindi alam ni Leila kung ano ang nararamadam niya. "What does that mean? Is it good or not" she nervously asked.

"Brix, is with Troy right now. He said came out a few minutes ago. The nurse told him that they are preapreing Troy to be transfered to a private room.It means that he is stable enough to be move to the private room,"explain  ni Aria sa kay Leila.

She swallowed." Does that  mean that he is going to be okay, Mia?"tanong ni Leila kay Mia expectantly.

Mia held Leila's hand." I can't promise that, Lei. Kailangan niyang magising but don't lose hope, please. We are here, praying for him,"sabi ni Mia and hugged her.

Leila started crying again."Why don't we go to the coffee shop downstairs for a bit while they are transferring Troy to the room.They may not want anybody there right now while they are getting him ready.I  will asked the nurses to call me as soon as he is settled in the other room."sabi ni Mia and left to go inside the ICU.

Lumapit din sina Melissa, Aria and Krista." Come on gurl, you need a break. Baka ikaw naman ang magkasakit and you might miss Troy when he wakes up,"sabi ni Melissa.Sit down for awhile while we wait for Mia to come back."

Leila sat down on the couch with her friends. The nurses must have informed Troy's family about the transfer but she want to do it too. So she sent a text to Terence and Tita Lauren about the planned transfer to the private room. She also told them that she will have coffee with her friends while the nurses are doing the transfer.

Nag text back si Terence and Troy's parents thanking her and letting her know that they are on their way to the hospital.

Mia came in in the family room." Lei, the nurse will call me as soon as they transferred Troy in the room. In the meantime, let have coffee,"update ni Mia sa kanya.

Leila nodded and got up. Tumayo na rin sina Melissa, Aria and Krista. They all went out of the room and went to get some coffee.

"I never realized again .....for the nth time this much needed break with you guys,"sabi ni Leila while sipping her coffee." Para bang nag stop ang mundo when Troy's accident happened. Talagang parang naging teleserye ang buhay ko."

" Pag pinadala mo ang story mo sa MMK, can i choose kon sino ang actress that will be playing my role,"biro ni Krista.

" Kris!!!!" Mia and Aria both yelled at the same time horrified. But Leila started laughing. It felt good to her to laugh. She can always count on Krista to say something crazy and funny.

Melissa, Aria and Mia couldnt help but laugh seeing Leila laughed.They were happy to see her like this. They miss this Leila, the carefree laughing Leila.

"What?"biglang sagot naman ni Krista na tumatawa na rin." I want to make sure na maganda ang magportray ng role ko no. Because it will be replayed and watched so many times by so many people."

" Baliw!!!"sabi ni Melissa then she stopped and was thoughtful." Come to think about it, I would want to chose who will be playing my role. She has to be a kick-ass gorgeous actress."

And all five of them started laughing again. The conversation at the point was light and funny. Leila was so grateful for these friends that she considers as sisters.

An hour past and Mia's phone rang . It was a call from one of the nurses saying that the transfer was complete. Mia was told that as soon as naayos na ng mga nurses si Troy sa private room as instructed by Mia. Mia thank them  and told Leila. 

They all stood up and followed Mia to where Troy's room is. And even if there is no new update on Troy's condition. Leila felt a little better. Na para bang with these short time with her friends, somehow nakakuha siya ng positive energy to this again. To be with Troy.
