Sunset

Chapter 25

She heard the buzzing of her phone. She felt so groggy. Kinapa niya ang cellphone and answered it.

" Hello," antok na sagot nito.She could not even open her eyes. She was so sleepy.

" Lei, did I wake you up? Troy is asking for you,"she heard Terence on the other line.

Napamulat agad si Leila.'What ? What time is it?"tanong nito na na-disorient trying to look at her watch but her eyes was having a hard time focusing.

"It's five o'clock in the afternoon,"sagot ni Terence.

"What?" halos pa sigaw na sabi nito. Nawala ang antok niya. Bigla siyang napaupo  sa kama niya." I'm getting dressed and I'm on my way." 

She hang up the phone bago pa makasagot si Terence. Dali dali itong naligo at nagbihis. She needs to get back to the hospital ASAP. Her Jacob is awake.

She was so excited as she turned the knob of Troy's room. She opened the door and went inside. Si Terence at Christian ang nandoon.Leila then had a tunnel vision because all she saw after that was Troy. Her Jake!!!

 Troy was in a sitting in the bed. He still have the bandage in his head. There were slight blood that she noted on the bandage.. He was talking to Christian when he saw her come in.

He stopped talking and gave the brightest sweetest smile."Bells! My Bella!!!"sabi nito ng nakita siya. God! She missed that adorble smile.

Tumakbo si Leila papunta sa bed ni Troy and hugged him. She started crying. Troy was hugging him back.

"Shhh......don't cry......don't cry....." sabi nito habang hinahagod ang likod ni Leila." Im here now. I'm back now."

Terence and Christian both smiled. Leila did not even heard the door close as Christian and Terence left the room. She has still hugging Troy. Ayaw niyang bitiwan ito. She was holding him so tight.

"You scared me. I didn't even know if you  would wake up,"sabi ni Leila na umiiyak pa rin." Don't you ever ever scare me like that again. Dont ever ever leave me."

Troy was kissing her cheek."I promise I wouldnt............ I couldn't remember anything. I just keep hearing your voice telling me to come back, to wake up so we could watch the sunset. I thought I was dreaming. Everytime I feel like I am going to drown, I can hear you calling me," he said softly.

She looked at him smiling and kissed him." I miss you. I miss you so much,"sabi ni Leila." I want to tell you that I didn't leave you........ that......................"

" I know Bells. Dad and Kuya Renz explained everything.  And even before then, I knew you were not going to leave me and if you dont you wont leave me without saying goodbye. Dad asked for forgiveness from me and Kuya Renz. We had a heart to heart to talk and we forgive him. I hope you can too,"he said.

"Babe, I did, the moment I saw regret and pain in his eyes when you were brought to ICU,"sabi ni Leila." I know he loves you so much."

He lighlty nodded his head." I heard that you were at my bedside the whole time I was unconscious, that you will not let the nurse do anything without you being present, is that true?"he asked smiling at him.

Leila just smiled.He motioned for her to sit beside him in bed. She sat down careful not to hurt him.He started to moved and wince.

" Jake, are you okay?" tanong ni Leila." Are you hurting. Do you need me to call the nurse? Maybe I should not sit here with you?"

" I'm trying to move so I can kiss you properly but my whole body ache when I move and I definitely don't want you to leave ,"he said.

Leila leaned to him and gave him a long, sweet gentle kiss. She let her tongue tease and play inside. She then draped her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. Troy was kissing her as fervently as she does.

" Good enough?" she whispered after the kiss.

" Sweetest kiss I ever had,"he answered smiling.

"Jake, you gave me a scare. Please don't do that again," she said again touching his face.

" Sorry Bells," he said," I was so distraught that night of the accident. I found out that they kidnapped you and Kuya Renz. I called Ate Bambi after I looked for you everywhere and couldn't find you. She was crying. She thought that Kuya Renz changed his mind and decided to marry you after all. That's when I told her that you were missing as well. Nagmadali akong umuwi and confronted Dad. He was so stubborn! I left the house so mad .I was not thinking straight that time and wasn't paying attention to the road. It was too late when I saw the truck."

Niyakap niya si Troy."I just cant lose you Bells. I will go crazy," sabi nito and kissed her forehead." I looked everywhere after you didn't show up for our lunch. I started blaming myself for not taking you some place where they couldn't find us."

"Sshhhh.......me too,"she said and kissed him again." I can't bear to be separated from you. I love you."

" I love you so much. Will you go back with me to Baja when they send me home from the hospital?" tanong ni Troy looking at her.

" I don't think you can go back to Baja for now. You still need therapy for your leg but when you are ready, yes I will go with you." sagot ni Leila." Didnt you hear me say that?"

Nakasimangot si Troy. " Stay here in my penthouse?" reklamo ni TRoy." I don't want to stay in my penthouse here. Can I not do it in Baja?"

" Hey, wag pa saway ha. You need to be fully recovered before going back there." sabi ni Leila." Ill be here to help you."

He was silent, looks like he is sulking." Baby, would it help if I stay with you in your penthouse or you could stay in mine," Leila asked. 

Troy looked at her. Leila was looking at him smiling." Y-you will stay with me?" he asked."You would do that? For me?"

She gave him a quick kiss on the lips and laughed. " Of course for you! Who else? If you want me to" she said." I found out that I am a good nurse." she added and laughed again.

Niyakap siya ni Troy." Of course, I want you to. Can't wait to go home," he said.

"Will you listen to me? Susundin mo lahat ng sasahihin ko?" tanong ni Leila." Will you be a good patient?"

" Yes Ma'm! Susundin ko lahat," sabi ni Troy smiling.

" Then it's a deal!" Leila smiled and held him tight.
