Chapter 18

Pangalawang araw na Nina Leila at Terence sa mansion. Hindi alam ni Leila kung hanggang kelan sila mananatili doon. Wala siyang natanggap na tawag mula sa parents niya. Hindi alam ni Leila kung talagang phone dito or tinanggal bago sila dinala doon ni Terence.

She was sitting in the bed. Nakabukas ang tv pero hindi nito naiintindihan ang palabas. Her mind going one hundred miles an hour trying to think kung ano ang pwede niyang gawin.

She was also thinking of Troy. What is doing right now? Where is he? Did he look for her? Alam Kaya niya that she was taken away at hindi Siya kusang umalis.

She heard a knock on the door. Wala na iba pang kakatok doon kundi si Terence. Sila Lang naman ang Tao sa loob ng bahay. But outside, yes there are guards.

"Come in," sabi ni Leila and straighten herself. She was sitting on the bed. She lowered the sound of the TV.

Pumasok si Terence at umupo sa tabi niya. She noticed that he looks dejected. She felt chills on her spine.

"W-what's w-wrong?" tanong ni Leila as she scoots a bit to give him more room.

He looked at her." I just talked to Dad. He said everything is set for us to get married in 3 days," he said.

She was surprised. Now, they want to rush this. She couldn't understand why. What is so important for them to get married soon. Is it because they are afraid that we can going to runaway again.

"How did you get the call? Did he call you?"she asked.

" Binigay ang phone sa akin ng isa sa mga nagbabantay sa atin," he answered.

All of a sudden, Leila felt the weight of their situation and started crying. Napayakap Siya kay Terence. He just held her dahil yon lang ang mabibigay niyang comfort and nothing else.

Leila knew in her heart that there is no hope sa situation nila ni Terence. Ramdam niyang nag-give up na rin si Terence sa kakaisip.

She tried to compose herself and willed herself to stop crying." When are we going home?"tanong ni Leila." Did Tito Oliver mentioned when, since we are supposed to get married in 3 days? Or they keeping us here till then?"

Terence looked pensive." Di ko alam, Lei,"sabi ni Terence. " Right now, I am not sure of anything. I am as lost bad you are."

Dama ni Leila ang panghihina nito.

" Maybe ....... they will even the bring the judge here and make us do it here so if we fuss..... who would know or hear about it but them," she said defectively.

Terence didn't say anything. Because as morbid as it sounds, he knows there might be some truth to it.

They sat there holding each other. Parang silang dalawa lang ang mag co-comfort sa isa't isa. Leila is emotionally drained and she knows, so does Terence.

Third Day

Leila heard an insistent knocked on the door. Halos hindi niya ma-imulat ang mata niya. She spent the whole night crying. But made her heart pound because everything is so unpredictable right now.
Anything can happen.
'Is this the day,' she thought. She sat up in bed and tried to get out of bed pero bago pa Siya makatayo and tell Terence to come in ay pumasok na ito sa room niya.

The first thing he saw was the terrified look on his face. She felt her heart jumped to her throat. Oh no," she thought.' What is it now.'

    Terence spoke before she could asked." Lei, Mom called just now. Troy was in a car accident. He is in the hospital, in surgery right now,"sabi nito.
