Sunset

Chapter 11

Leila and Troy finally got up  after staying for as long as they can in bed. Nobody seems to have the will to move.

"Let' s take a shower and then I'll make you breakfast," sabi ni Troy while holding Leila's hand.

Napatingin si Leila sa kanya not sure if she heard him right. " Shower?"

Troy looked at her and smiled sheepishly, " I didn't mean together, Bells. I meant you take a shower and I'll do the same in the other bathroom."

Leila laughed." Okay, see you in a bit," sabi nito.

Leila and Troy then took separate showers. Inayos na rin ni Leila ang mga gamit niya after her shower.

Paglabas niya ay nakahanda na ang breakfast nila sa dining table. Troy did prepare if for both of them like he did that first that Leila slept in the penthouse.

" Sit down and eat now," sabi ni Troy and pulled a chair for Leila to sit.  

Nang nakaupo na ito ay  umupo na rin si Troy sa tabi niya.

He  prepared scrambled eggs, bacon and french toast with orange juice in the table.

 "What time are you leaving?" he quietly asked.

 "Probably four this afternoon,"sagot ni Leila at Sumubo ito ng scrambled eggs.

  " Have you packed your bags?"tanong ni Troy in a monotonous tone as if he was forcing himself to talk .
           Leila noticed this and gazed at him. "Yes, I have," sabi ni Leila. She stood up. Napatingin si Troy sa kanya. Lumapit ito kay Troy. She removed the necklace she has on her neck and place on Troy's neck.

     "Something to remember me by,"sabi ni Leila kissed him on the cheek and went back to her chair.
     Troy touched the necklace." Bells, are you sure? This is a Cartier love necklace," sabi niya.

     Leila smiled." I know.And yes, I am sure. I love that necklace so much and I love you. That's so you know how much  I love you."

      Troy look like he was going to cry. He stood up and left her in the dining room. He went to straight back to the bedroom. Nagulat si Leila. She was not sure, if she made him upset or what. Did he get mad at her? Why did he leave? Ayaw ba niya sa necklace? He doesn't love me after all? Was he insulted by the gesture. So many things are running through her mind.  Tatayo na sana si Leila para sundan si Troy ng makita niya itong bumalik na may hawak hawak na box. Lumapit ito sa tabi niya, pulled the chair as close to her as it could get before sitting down.

    " I have something for you too," he said smiling. He opened the box and took a ring. It was an infinity ring.
    " Let me put this ring on your finger but read the inscription first," sabi ni Troy at binigay ang singsing sa kanya.
     Leila looked at the inscription and read it .Forever yours Jake and Bella. She stared at him, smiled but with tears in her eyes.
     Troy kissed her." No crying please or I will too,"sabi nito. He then took the ring from her and place it in her finger. He kissed her finger with the ring. " I hope that you will always remember that I love you. I hope that you will not take this ring off your finger."
     "I promised," sagot ni Leila at yumakap sa kay Troy.

     "Bells, I still have hope that maybe, just maybe........ somehow, there is a future with you and me in it......you and me creating our story,"he said silently while holding her.

       Leila held him even tighter. And as much as she wanted to stop crying, tears just kept of falling.

       Troy broke the embrace so he looked at her. He took a tissue from the table and wiped the tears on her eyes and gave her another tissue.

       " Please dont cry anymore. I dont want this to be the last thing I remember of you. I want to see that smile...... the smile that captivate me that first day I met you," Troy said quietly.

     Leila forced herself to smile as she was wiping her eyes and nose." That first day huh!"she said smiling.

      Troy smiled, that beautiful, beautiful smile." Yup, the first day,"he answered.He took a deep breath. " Do you want me to go take you back to Manila? Gusto mong sumama ako pabalik?"

      Leila gazed at him and touched his cheek. Troy put his hand on top her hand that was still on his cheek." No....no Jake. I think it would be best if we part ways here," she answered.

      Troy took her hand and kissed it." If that is what you want, then that is what we shall do," he said." And since you are not leaving until this afternoon, we still have the rest of the day together. So let's finish our breakfast and make the most of the day, okay?"

     Leila smiled." Okay," she answered.

     "No more tears. Not even when you leave later, okay?" sabi ni Troy even if she can see sadness in his eyes.

    She took deep breath and looked at him in the eye." Okay, I will try my very best,"she said na pilit ngumiti.

    Troy smiled at her." That's my Bella," he said and kissed her on the mouth.

    
      After they finished their breakfast, they decided to go for a leisure stroll at the beach.They walked hand in hand.  They talked about anything and everything. And when there were times,where they were silent and was just contented on walking silently gazing and smiling at each other from time to time. They sat on the cottage when  they got tired, ordered lunch and sip their shakes after they've eaten.

 They didn't care what was going on around them. They were  just  contented sitting there as long as they are together and in each others arms.

  The watched their last sunset together  and kissed one last time before Leila had to leave.
