Leafpool stepped into the ThunderClan camp nervously. A sense of comfort draped itself around her as she scented the familiar smells of her old home. Nothing had changed, Leafpool realized. Except for... Me.
"Oh, I wish I could stay," murmured the brown tabby she-cat wistfully. but then she shook her head. "no, no, I've got a wonderful mate... Crowfeather. A great Clan... FireClan... Good cats all around me who I love... But..." Leafpool felt overwhelmed, in conclusion. She rembered training with her beloved Cinderpelt here, sharing tongues with Mousefur and Longtail, chatting happily with her sister, Squirrelpaw at the time (not Squirrelflight), and being saved by Crowfeather from death itself- falling in love.
''Leafpool. Take a walk with me." It was Spottedleaf. Leafpool felt a bit relieved. The pretty tortoiseshell always had some wis thing to say, and her words had never failed to soothe and cal Leafpool.
The two she-cats hovered of the camp, invisible to all. They walked on thin air, supported by a cloud of tiny stars. 'Leafpool, I can see that you're distressed. You are doubting yourself." Leafpool shook her head.She mewed, "No, not doubting myself, but I feel-" "Leafpool, you are not trusting yourself to make the right decisions. but, dear, know that if you make certain choices... Surely you were meant to do something different than the other choice?" At this, Spottedleaf started to fade, and Leafpool was put back on the earth. "Know yourself, Leafpool. I believe in you!"
