Sitting in the car, trying to pretend that I didn't see what I saw, continuing to smile and talk just like I normally would knowing that no one can ever really tell when I'm sort of out of it. In reality, on the inside, I wanted nothing more than to just zone out and give myself a moment to think.

I know that they would've told me eventually about their relationship, but I guess they never did mention whether or not they were together. All of these assumptions are making me even more exhausted and we shouldn't assume because assuming makes an ass out of you and me. I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised; I literally saw the small kisses on the cheek, the cuddling, the hand holding between all of them.

Goddamn, I should really be more observant...

That's probably the reason why I'm upset.

Yeah, that's it...

We got to campus and as soon as we parked I bolted out of the car, shouting a goodbye to the five who hadn't even unbuckled their seatbelt yet. I speed walked to where me and my classmates congregated before classes and tackled-hugged Marcie as she was in a conversation with a few of our classmates and Charlie, who's class starts a bit later than ours.

"Hey guys!" I joined in the conversation with the group, laughing at the attics of some of them, vaguely aware that I was being watched but unconcerned as we were a bit loud and were probably drawing attention to ourselves since our conversation was in a mixture of German and English. That's the fun of going to a predominantly English-speaking University in Germany. It was difficult to translate at times but it always happens so fast no one really bothers to care.

Slowly the rest of our classmates arrived and we all continued talking about various things about classes and events coming up. It all was a jumble of friendly jabs at friends, and reminders of certain important dates and before I knew it, it was a few minutes to class and Marcie said she was going to take Charlie to their class as usual. I bid my goodbyes to Charlie, knowing that Marcie would be back before class started. I headed towards the lecture hall with everyone else.

For a few minutes, we stood outside of the hall, now just in little groups, waiting for our professor to open the door. Our professor, well, most professors on campus have this thing about being exactly on time. A minute too late and the doors are closed and you miss class. I sort of understand it but it's a little harsh at times

I don't know how I do it, but I somehow got along with nearly my entire class. I could literally just go up to a random person, start talking and I'd be fine. When Fayre and Marcie had seen me around other people on campus or meeting up with people, they had thought I was abducted or had a more preppy and social twin sister or something. Orion first met me when I was in my social mindset so he was mildly surprised when he found out I could be reclusive, especially since I threatened bodily harm if he ever hurt Fay just a few days prior.

When the doors finally opened, we all flooded in, saying our good mornings and I moved to the seats me and Marcie often occupied, front and center. Marcie's vision wasn't very good as it was and recently, the glasses that she used for class, had broken when she tripped and landed on them as she was cleaning them.

I took out my pencil case and notebook and flipped to an empty page, ignoring the fact my handwriting looked absolutely atrocious. While writing the date at the top and copying down the title of today's lesson that was on the board, Marcie plopped into the seat beside me, placing her bag down and slouching. She was badly out of breath as usual.

'You know, you could just drop Charlie off sooner so you don't have to run all the way across campus, right?" I asked amused, watching the girl who was still trying to catch her breath. "And you would think doing this on a daily basis would make you used to it."
