This morning I woke up to a soft touch petting my head, my body wrapped up tightly and in a near suffocating warmth that was somewhat soothing. Actually, to be honest, all of these things were mildly annoying me and the irritation was building up bit by bit. Okay, yeah, no, this was very annoying.

Groaning, I tried to kick off the heat and whatever was holding me down. Finding that not working I twisted and turned which received only some sounds of amusement from someone that wasn't me.

I opened my eyes, wanting to glare at the person only to squeeze the shut again from the bright light coming from the opened window. Turning once more to lie on my stomach I buried my face in the soft pillow that smelled a bit of pine or something like that, not the normal green apple that my shampoo smelled like.

This morning was confusing but instead of succumbing, I just decided to tough it out and wake up. Venturing a glance at the room, I was met with the same glare of light, that over time became more bearable, well enough for me to see the stupid dopey grin on Mikael's face looking down on me.

"Morning teddy!" He whisper-shouted. I just gave him an eyeroll and a groan.

Sitting up I noticed everyone was still asleep besides Mikael and I, by some miracle. I also noticed the curtains were perfectly opened just to subject only me to the UV rays coming from the massive ball of gas in the sky.

Directing my attention to the bemused male, I studied him and his lazy look for a second before whispering.

"What time is it? And why are you up already?"

"Oh nothing, just wanting to admire the pretty view," he gave me a wink.

I was confused for a second before deadpanning, raising an eyebrow at his annoying face. I could not deal with this in the morning.

I just continued to stare at him like this until he broke into a sheepish smile before he continued, still speaking softly.

"I'm kidding! Ian kept saying something about getting a good picture of the sunrise but he never wakes up early enough so I decided that I'd do it for him, and my mission was successful if I do say so myself," Mikael pulled out a cute polaroid of the sun rising on the city skyline.

My expression softened and I smiled at the picture then at him. "Aww, that's so sweet of you to do that for him Mikael! And you took it so well. I didn't know you had a polaroid camera, I love those!"

I looked back down at the picture while studying it but what I didn't know was that the guy in front of me had the faintest blush and grin on his face.

"I do hope he likes it. He's been wanting to add some things to his "collection of inspiration" and he's been getting just a little frustrated not being able to get this one."

"He's gonna love it! It's gorgeous!" Handing him back the photo, I gave him a close-eye smile.

"Oh! Actually though," I opened my eyes again and tilted my head a little. "What time is it?"

"Uhh," Mikael pulled out his phone. "It's just past 7. What time is your shift?"

"It starts later on, so I should be fine for now. I don't usually wake up this early, it's weird heh," I looked around again at the still sleeping figures. "Why don't you and I make breakfast for everyone else then? Or...are you busy?"

He shook his head smiling. Standing up, dusted himself off and offered a hand to me. I took my blankets off gently, not wanting to wake anyone else. Putting my hand in his, he helps me up but tugs just a little too hard, making me stumble and latch on to his arms to stabilize myself.
