~~~~~~~~~~~Bryan's POV~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked out of the portal, opening my eyes. The room was almost a blinding darkness, but I quickly adjusted to the dimness of the room. A familiar figure turned around, his face stained by oil tears, his ears laid back and his eyes wide open in shock. I gasped happily, tears forming in my eyes as I ran to the brown bear, hugging him tightly and burying my face into his fur. He stuttered incoherently, frozen in shock. I whined happily, "Freddy!!!"
I hugged him tighter, shaking softly as tears began to drip down my face at a steady pace. He stayed frozen, still stuttering quietly. I didn't care, I just was happy... so happy.... I missed him... so much. "B-b-bry-ya-an?" he stuttered, his tone a mix of surprise, fear, and sadness. I whimpered, overtaken by joy and relief, "I misse-ed y-you! I m-miss-sed you-u so-o m-much-h!!!" He sighed shakily, wrapping his arms slowly around me, pulling me closer to himself. He stayed silent for a bit, then softly murmured, "I-i.... I mi-issed you to-oo kid."
I relaxed into his embrace with a happy sigh, tears still falling as I nuzzled his chest-fur I'd buried my face into, my eyes still squeezed shut. He hushed me softly, keeping me close, his voice still shaky. After a few moments, I felt the weight of my back-pack being reduced as it was slowly lifted from my shoulders. I was confused for a second before realizing why. I broke away from the tight hug reluctantly, allowing Freddy to take my back-pack off. "Why-.. Is your back-pack so -... heavy?.."
He'd take it off my shoulders, letting it sit against the pillar. I stayed silent, returning to hugging him tight, feeling bad for being so clingy. His gaze and positioning stayed turned towards the bag for a few seconds, before he let out a soft chuckle. "You really... did miss me.. Huh?" I looked up to him, then followed his gaze, realizing he'd been looking at my makeshift plushie of him. "M-mhm-" I then buried my face into his fur again, hugging him tightly.
He sighed and returned the hug, rubbing my back softly. I relaxed further into his embrace, my shoulders throbbing from having to carry that back-pack for so long. "Kid... what's.... What's going on?.. What happened?.... You're... so much older.." I stayed quiet, comforted by his closeness.... I needed this... I needed him. "Kid-?.." I shook my head softly, keeping my face buried in his fur. "What do you mean no-?.. Wh-?" he paused for a few seconds, then asked, "Why did you run away from home...?... That's what happened... right?"
I stayed quiet still, but gave him a soft nod. "K-kid..." he sighed, then continued, "You gotta go back home-" Tears formed in my eyes again as he added, "Your parents must be worried sick-!" I pushed away from him, my eyes burning from the tears. "NO!.. This is my home! I can't go back!! I can't!!" I backed away more, hiding behind a pillar, whimpering softly. "Hey-.. nonono-.. I-it's okay... kid-... calm down. Shh-"
My whimpering grew quieter, comforted by his soothing voice, but I stayed half-hidden behind the pillar, a few tears still falling as I lightly trembled. "Come back over to me- it's okay..." "I ca-an't-t go-o b-back! Yo-ou can-n't m-make me!!!" I whimpered more, ducking fully behind the pillar. I quietly stated, "Th-his-s is m-my h-home no-ow!!" I heard him release a long sigh, mumbling to himself something along the lines of, "This kid-------death of me... I'm--soft------" He sighed again, then softly stated, "Fine. You... You can stay."
