"Get away!"
A rush of fire knocked a tall man who had to be at least 30 years old, with demonic white eyes behind a mask. He was carrying a long sword and was seemingly about to kill an innocent victim that just so happened to be Iida.
The guy was not expecting two more kids to show up, yet managed to dodge and keep his balance as he skidded away from some flames.
"Someone else to get in my way. Today's been full of distractions."
Rei rolled her eyes as her friend held up his phone to reveal a map location.
"Midoriya," the boy paused dramatically. "You need to give more details in times like this. I was almost too late to stop this guy."
"Todoroki, you too?"
"And me!"
"R-Rei?!"
While the speed type hero-to-be lay on the ground, paralyzed, he wasnt sure what to make of the situation. A very difficult villain who wouldn't let Iida avenge his brother wasn't seeming to show any signs of being defeated by pros, never mind students.
"How'd you both get here? Hold on— you're using your left side?"
"How'd I get here? Good question. Your message took me a while to figure it, but Rei made it easier to decipher. Next time, try to send more than just your specific location. But you're not really one to send cryptic messages without a reason, are you? We figured you were in trouble and asking for help."
The boy wasn't finished with his long speech, but began to run right towards the infamous villain with his Quirks. He first activated his ice to hold the victims on higher ground, quickly proceeding to use fire to allow them to slide downwards towards the two newcomers.
"Everything's okay. The pro heroes will be here any minute! You're just what they said you were. But you won't be taking any more lives, Hero Killer," Shoto showed off his left side's ability in the palm of his hand.
"You can't let that guy get your blood," exclaimed an immobilized Izuku. "I-I think he controls his enemy's actions by swallowing it. That's how he got us!"
Todoroki shared his thoughts of how it explained the villain's weapon and how all he had to do was keep a distance. His first real attack to defend himself and his friends resulted in a small cut on his face and barely avoided having the weirdo lick his blood.
"Just stop it," muttered Iida. "Why are you doing this? His fight is with me! I inherited my brother's name. I'm the one that should stop him. The Hero Killer is mine!"
"You're Ingenium now? Strange. The Ingenium I knew before never had a look like that on his face. You've got a dark side. Guess my family isn't the only one."
Rei really wasn't in the mood for the family drama information right now. It was very interesting to hear about, but not an ideal situation to talk about it.
"Are you forgetting I live with Katsuki?"
"Well, he has a dark manner, but that doesn't mean your home life is necessarily—"
"OI, FORGET WHAT I SAID! FOCUS ON BEING CAREFUL AND DEFEATING OR IMMOBILIZING THE MURDERER!"
"Be careful!"
"No shit!" The girl activated her Quirk, but halted before it did any damage. "I'm sorry for cursing— habit!"
The girl was about to proceed with burning the asshole to his well deserved doom, but an electrifying fast vegetable appeared to beat her to the bad guy. Apparently he wanted Todoroki to guard him, while Rei just took the others to safety. Yeah, it did not suit the blonde's style.
"I didn't sign up for rescue, but whatever. A hero's a hero, I'll do what I can. Iida, I'm going to carry you on my back. If you can at any point move, try activating your speed thing to help us escape faster. Person I am unfamiliar with, I'm going to hold you with my hands. Bare with me, I'm going to get you two out of here."
Without caring for any comments or complaints, the girl did as she said and hurried as fast as she could to get a professional's attention and maybe immediate medical help. This was not the type of hero work she planned on dealing with.
"Endeavor! Someone! I need a Pro Hero! Please, someone!"
She may have completed tests for running 50 meters and lifting weights, but she didn't think she'd need to consider multitasking those two. This was just a nightmare.
"HELP! CAN ANY HERO HEAR ME?!"
Finally, after a horrifying thirty seconds, the girl ran into a concerned flying old guy.
"What's happened?"
"I-It's... t-they got hurt a-and..." she couldn't believe she had to stutter and begin to have a panic attack right when she found help. "Izuku and Shoto are trying to hold him back..."
"Izuku? As in, Izuku Midoriya? Oh no, what happened? What is it?"
"...H-Hero Killer"
The man gasped and hurried back the way he came for a few short seconds before rushing back to the girl. The old guy carried the hero in her arms to rest on a safe and concrete ground and do the same with Iida.
Rei could only gulp as she saw a determined Endeavor race to the direction he was given by his son not too long ago. He didn't seem to notice the girl he passed on the way there, not even when she was trembling and covered in fresh innocent blood. Not even when his flames just barely skimmed through her left arm, which was definitely broken once again.
Why did shit always happen to her?
