                                                  CAT's P.O.V.

Finally, the next day arrived. The day of changes. The day of possibilities. The day after nothing will be the same. I hope it will change to better. I hope they'll trust us.

I woke up early this morning. One girl gave a white dress to wear. At first I didn't want to wear it because it reminds me of what we used to wear when we were at Gehenna, but then I realized it's at least clean and it's better than a male T-shirt I was wearing. So I wore it. I washed my face at the spring. Max was practicing his speech. I approached him.

"It's going to be fine."- I smiled.

"Well, we can't be sure in that. What if they don't trust us?"- he asked.

"I'm sure there'll be someone who'll trust us. You're going to tell the truth, that's most important."- I said.

"Thank you."- he smiled.

"For what?"- I asked.

"For being yourself."- he said.

After we finished our preparations we just sat in the shelter nervously counting minutes until 1.00 P.M. Then we went to the town centre. When we arrived, we weren't alone. A lot of Caelum people gathered up. I could see how much nervous Max was. He stepped up in front of everyone. We were behind him and in front of him were people from town. I don't know how did he get it, but he had a microphone. His hands were shaking and sweating as he was managing to hold the microphone.

"Good afternoon everyone."- he started -"I know you probably think you are here because of some safety meeting, but that's not true."

People started talking between each other. They looked confused.

"I'd really like you to stay here, because what you're about to hear is very important. These people behind me, are the people who lived on the other side of border. They lived a life of torment, pain and punishment they didn't deserve. That place, called Gehenna, was a secret to all of us for a long time. All the happiness we have we owe them. Every day of their life they've been working at fields and mines. They had only one meal a day. They couldn't choose. Every day they've seen people around them dying. Were they prisoners? Yes, they were. Did they deserve that? No they didn't. All they want now, all we want now, is to trust us. To know the real truth. Because the people that tortured them are now lying to you, telling you they're dangerous and they want to hurt you. That's not true. Now, now they need your help."- he said.

He took a glance at them. They were all quiet and paid attention to him. I could see they felt a small amount of compassion and empathy. A small amount, but they still felt it.

"We need your help. We need your help to fight. To fight for right. For freedom! For peace! For happiness! People, please, do what's right, and help people."- Max said.

The words that he said, they touched my heart and deep in my soul. I'd believe him. I hope they do too. I saw how much nervous he is. I saw how much he needs someone to support him. So I stepped up next to him and I took his hand. I held it tight, not letting it go. He looked at me and I raised my look at him. I smiled. And he knew. He knew I'm telling him that everything will be okay. Everything will be okay, because the light always defeats the darkness.
