Chapter 8~ Confusion

The slim figure jerked round in response and I caught the briefest glint of silver as those familiar green eyes turn to look at me though they were hooded with an unusual expression of utter surprise. My eyes widen in shock as I scanned through his whole body vividly trying to make sense of what the bloody hell, he was doing down here in the middle of the night.
My voice was feeble with unfaded shock when the right words finally formed on my lips.

"Draco !!!!!!??? what are you doing here??? in the middle of the night........beside the forbidden forest"?????? I added with a set tone with utter confusion hovering around my mind like a crow

"Granger? Bladi hell, have you been following me???" Darco responded acidly without even answering my question. From the look on his face he was definitely surprised and shocked to see me. Probably because he doesn't want to be reported to the Head Master or  even worse Umbridge or he just doesn't want me to find out what he was up to in the middle of the night, doing Lord knows what In the bladi forest.

"Of course I'm not following you, why would I be following you?" I snapped back

"Oh I don't know, you tell me, the last time I was alone, you appeared in thin air and now it's you again, get lost you filthy little mud-blood" Draco spat bittily without even blinking
"I asked you Draco, What are you doing down here?" My tone was set, I demanded an answer whether he liked it or not. Nobody just wonders around the forest at night like this, it's bladi dangerous and on top of it, it's against school rules.

"It's non of your bladi business Granger" Draco spat back his tone menacing yet imperceptibly desperate, "Go away". He pause, then added again for intimidating effect "or I'll hex you, I swear to God I will"

"And you actually think I'll let you do that? Try me" at that point my voice was raging with anger. I narrowed my eyes, trying to focus on Draco in the half darkness which was hard since the moon overhead head had slid behind a black cloud and the meagre light lingered like mist between us. I wanted  to make sense of the whole thing but I just couldn't. I needed an answer from him.

"Granger!!!!!!i swear if you don't start moving, I'm gonna....."
"Oh please what are you going to do MALFOY? Are you......."I started just when the clouds above suddenly shifted revealing the moon once again, and pearly white rays flowed through the dark night sky, falling obliquely across Draco's face and illuminating his dark features with an unnatural pale light and I abruptly stopped midway

Those green eyes scorched through my mind without warning. It wasn't accompanied with anger or confusion but closely chased by another unnamed sensation that bled through my entire being, intense and undiluted, twisted discomfort and ecstasy at the same time. For some reasons my vision blurred momentarily, then came into shape focus, the back ground of dark trees dissolved into view slanted by the stinging glow of incandescent moonlight and Darco.......??

Darco was standing right in front of me clearly trying to figure out what I was going to say or more so why I suddenly stopped uttering words and all I could do was stare at him, helpless as the aching sensation rushed through my veins and engulfed me. It left my mind shaken but disturbingly clear as it floods through my body, every fiber in my body yielded to this terrifying new sensation which somehow seem to possess me whole.

"Oii mudblood what do you think you're doing " Draco spat with clear confusion in his voice. I was staring at him like an idiot.

"As I was saying what are you going to do about it"? I'm going to report you MALFOY! if you don't start talking"? I spat vaguely also quite expressionless trying not to give any thing away

"Report me.....?Granger are you listening to yourself?" He spat sarcastically "if you report me, than you'll be in trouble too for wondering around in the night" he added laughingly. And that was quite true. I would get in trouble too for wondering around Hogwarts ground in the middle of the night because it's against school policy. He had a point.

"Not a word to anyone Granger because you didn't see me here" he paused and then added again for intimidating effect "if you try to cross me, I'll make you forget that you ever knew a red head by the name of Ron Weasley" Darco spat threateningly as he made his way past me and off on to the foot path and started descending towards the Gates of Hogwarts.

I just stood there quite speechless. Who does this boy think he is ?????? Making empty Threats. This is certainly not the end of this. I'll ask him tomorrow I thought as I made my way out onto the footpath. I looked down to Hagrid's hut and it was Dark. I knew Hagrid must be asleep by now so I decided to go back up and go to bed.

As I was waking my back, I started recalling what happened with MALFOY back there. WHY I SUDDENLY FROZE LIKE AN IDIOT???! Those thoughts I was having and that........that stupid sensation I had.... it was almost as if I was drawn to his eyes instantaneously once the moon illuminated his features.I was confused. Why was I feeling like that ?????? I was just mad at him a minute ago??? Wait!!!!!!! Do I actually fancy............No!!!!!!

I mean it can't be........it just can't........!!!!!because it's................it's......Draco MALFOY!!!!! 
And come on, what was he doing beside the forbidden forest in the middle of the night !!?
