I turned around and saw nothing but suit. I flinched back some and followed the body up. Black dress pants, white dress shirt,red tie, suit jacket. I sighed.
"Hey Elijah. Long time."I said lazily while turning around to face Rose.
She looked paler than usual, and started 'breathing' deeper.
"Long time indeed, Nikias. So, Rose,what did you want?" He asked the frightened woman.
She started to slide toward the door and babble. I sighed again, and answered for him.
"She wants to trade us for-"I said when she cut me off.
"Our freedom. Freedom of Niklaus. If we give you the new Doppleganger then you can perform you ritual, and leave us alone. It's a win on both sides." She pleaded.
I have to admit that was a pretty decent bargain. I'd take it but, sadly, Im the one being sold here so not so much.
"Why would you take both of them? Nikias isn't a Doppleganger." Elijah inquired.
She looked at me then to my pretending sister.
"To assure both my brother's safety and mine. I don't want a repeat of last time." She said mumbling the last part.
"What happened last time?" I asked directing a very uninterested tone toward Elijah.
"The last time she tried to turn in a Doppleganger, Katarina, was the barging piece. She killed herself before we could get to her. This one here, had given Katarina her blood to heal her. Not too smart on her part." Elijah said walking around the couch I was on and sitting next to me.
I looked over at the cowaring female in the corner and smirked.
"You really are stupid." I said before turning to Elijah.
"Hey sweetheart, wanna do me a favor and untie me? I'll be a good girl." I said with a sarcastic pout.
I turned so he could untie me. Elijah and I have always had a different kind of relationship. He has always been there for me. Ex boyfriend troubles, sister issues, my parents. Every bad thing I can remember has always somehow be calmed down by him. I had even swore to myself that I would become his wife. He even agreed to it. I had asked him a long time ago if he would marry me. He said he would and that even though I looked like his Talia or Tatiana or whoever. Elijah said he would only love me for who I am and not who his former lover was. I guess plans have changed.
