Third P.O.V.

A woman with dark, walnut, brown, hair filled her arms with clothes, and ran to her bed. There was knock on her door, startled she jumped turning to the direction of the door. She hissed, and the man put his hand up in a jester of surrender.

"Oh, its you." She exclaimed as she turned back to the bag full of clothes.

"Why, Katarina. Is that any way to greet a helping hand?" The man said leaning softly on the doorframe.

"Well I'm kind of in a hurry, Elijah. I don't have time for your unimportant small talk." She spat while zipping up the bag.

"Well I guess I shouldn't tell you about the danger your in." He said sarcastically.

She stopped in her tracks as she went to her dresser once again.

"What do you mean?" She asked with hesitance.

"Now your interested in my "unimportant small talk"?" He said snidely.

Katherine started to become angry, and the veins under her eyes pushed to the surface.

"Just tell me." She seethed.

Elijah pushed off the doorframe and approached Katherine.

"Well since you asked nicely. I'll tell you, but before I do, I want you to promise something." Elijah bargained.

Katherine thought this over quickly, and gave him a skeptical look.

"Depends. What is it?" She asked. Elijah smiled.

"That, Katarina, is the catch. I can't tell you that. You'll know soon enough." He said.

'What's his gain?' Katherine thought.

She thought for a short time more, and agreed.

'The pros out weigh the cons, so I'll go with it, but if this comes to bite me in the ass deals off. I might be able to turn this to benefit me somehow.'  The thought brought a sly smirk to her face.

"Okay, I'll bite. What is it?" She asked.

Elijah nodded and turned around.

"Let me guess. You think that you can turn this into something that helps you, and only you? But that thought was already unnecessary to begin with. You see, I already know that if you don't get something in return then you wouldn't help in the first place. That's why the catch was put in place in the first place." Elijah said as he fiddle with something on a shelf.

"Okay. So what's in it for me?" She asked.

He didn't hesitate in his reply.

"Your freedom. The escape from Niklaus that you've waited for since the day you were turned. You just have to be sure that you follow through on your end of the deal. Just promise, and your safety is guaranteed." He said.

She looked at him, and wondered if she would be able to trust him. She decided that she had no choice, and nodded.

"Alright. You have my promise. Now, will you tell me what I'm promising?" She asked.

Elijah smiled.

"That! My dear, sweet, Katarina, is the secret." He said, and left the luxurious hotel room.
