~The Next Day~

Back at the Cooper house Betty hadn't slept well that night.

She couldn't stop thinking about her English teacher and how she had liked one of his posts on Instagram.

She was terrified he would see that she was stalking him. But at 7:15 she went to school and found her best friend who had already known about the whole Instagram incident.

As the two sat in the student lounge and talked before their classes started, Mr. Jones passed them and winked at Betty before walking into his classroom.

Toni- Holy shit B...I think he knows. (whispers)

Betty- No no no...I'm so screwed. (whispers)

Toni- Yeah, probably. (whispers)

Betty- Not helping T. (whispers)

Toni- Sorry, I've never been in this situation, I don't know how to help you. (whispers)

Betty- Fuck...It doesn't matter we don't have English until later anyway. Hopefully he'll just forget. (whispers)

Toni- I doubt he will Hon...but maybe. (whispers)

Then they went to their classes...but as they reached their last class of the day, English, Betty was dreading everything.

Toni and Betty walked in together and went to the back of the class not wanting their teacher to really pay attention to them, but of course he did.

MrJones- Miss Cooper, I would like to speak to you after class.

Betty- O-Oh okay. (quietly)

Betty and Toni sat down and Toni instantly looked at Betty to see her getting really nervous, she even saw her digging her nails into her palms...that was something she did a lot when she would get stressed.

But Toni always stopped her.

Toni- Hey, you're gonna be fine, okay? I'll wait for you right outside. (whispers)

Betty- I just don't want to stay after with him. (quietly)

Toni- I know but you'll be okay. (whispers)

Betty- I guess. (quietly)

Their class started and the whole time Betty was barely paying any attention, she was just freaking out about the whole Instagram situation.

But finally as the class ended everyone began to walk out, except for Toni and Betty.

MrJones- Miss Topaz, I know you two are friends but I need to talk to Miss Cooper alone.

Toni- Fine, I'll be outside. (quietly)

She got up and walked out while Betty continued to just sit at her desk in the back of the class.

MrJones- Alright, the whole Instagram thing-

And then she broke.

Betty- I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean too. It was a complete accident, just please don't tell my mom. (cries)

MrJones- Hey, don't get upset, I won't tell your mom. To be honest I don't even care, okay? Just relax.

He placed his hand on her cheek and wiped her tears away but quickly pulled away realising what he had just done.

MrJones- I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that.

Betty- It's fine. (sniffles)

MrJones- I didn't mean to make you cry, I'm sorry Elizabeth.

Betty- Betty.

MrJones- What?

Betty- I hate being called Elizabeth, call me Betty.

MrJones- Betty, I like it...you can go now if you want. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone about the whole thing.

Betty- Thank you.

She jumped up and hugged him before leaving. As soon as she was gone, he couldn't stop smiling, she made him feel happy.

And Betty felt the same way about him.

Toni- How'd it go?

Betty- Good.

Toni- Okay, I need more information than just 'good'.

Betty- Well, I cried in front of him and he felt really bad...then he placed his hands on my cheeks and wiped my tears away.

Toni- Omg really?!

Betty- Yeah. (blushes)

Toni- You really like him, don't you?

Betty- I guess...but it still can't happen.

Toni- Why?

Betty- He's 25 and I'm 18.

Toni- So? You're an adult.

Betty- Yeah but he's still my teacher.

Toni- Oh well...wanna go to pops?

Betty- Sure...but I have to be home by 5 or else my mom will actually kill me.

Toni- Who cares.

Betty- Me, I don't want to die.

Toni- Ugh, you're no fun.

Betty- It's more like my mom is no fun.

Toni- Facts.

Betty giggled and they left school.

They walked all the way to pops and spent hours there. But Betty had forgotten that she needed to be home by five, so at 6 she had received a text from her mother saying she was getting punished.

Betty- Shit, I have to go, my moms literally gonna kill me.

Toni- Then just stay with me, don't go back to her.

Betty- T, she's my mom, I have to go.

Toni- Okay, just call me later.

Betty- I will.

She instantly ran out of pops, not stopping until she got to her house.

But as she walked in her mom looked furious.
