Forbidden Romance

Part 14

~The Next Morning~

When Betty woke up the next morning she began to cry remembering what was going to happen with her boyfriend.

She spent a few minutes rubbing her stomach, while she thought about her baby before she got up and got dressed for court.

Then she texted her best friend.

On text:

Betty- Hey Toni, Jug has his hearing today and I was wondering if you could be there with me? I need my emotional support.

Toni- Of course B, I'll meet you there!

Betty- Thank you, I love you.

Toni- I love you too.

Off text:

Betty went down to her mother and Alice instantly saw the broken look on her face.

Alice- Betty...

Betty- I can't lose him mom. (sobs)

Alice- I know baby, I know.

The young girl broke in her mothers arms. She cried for hours until it was finally time for them to go to the court house.

Once they got there she did her best to hold it together, but the tears were still there.

Toni walked in and ran to Betty, hugging her tight.

And then Jughead walked in with police officers guarding him. He was brought to the front and stood before the Judge.

The hearing began and immediately they asked about both the ages of Betty and Jughead, the context of what had happened between them, and then her pregnancy came up.

Judge- It says here that your student is now pregnant, and we can assume it is your child.

Jughead- Y-Yes, it is.

Judge- Well, after that, it is safe to say that Mr Jones is going to be sentenced to 5 years at Riverdale federal prison. Court adjourned.

The judge hit his gavel down on the table and Betty fell to the ground sobbing, but before they could take Jughead away she ran to him and jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist.

He hugged her back tight but then the police officers began to pull them apart.

Betty- S-Stop! P-Please! (sobs)

Police- Let go of the criminal!

Betty- He's not a criminal, he never hurt me! All he did was love me! (sobs)

Police- That doesn't matter!

Jughead- Betts, I love you so much, but you need to let me go. (softly)

Betty- N-No (sobs)

Jughead- Please, I can't watch you cry and get torn away from me. (voice breaks)

She nodded and gave him one last hug and kiss before letting go and walking to Toni and her mom.

But as soon as he was gone she broke down and sobbed into her knees.

Both Toni and Alice got on the floor with her and hugged her trying to calm her down, but there's nothing that they could do.

She needed her boyfriend to be with her, to be with her baby, but he was gone.
