“Wow…just…” Tracey said in disbelief as she listened to what happened at the night of the party. There were so many versions in the newspapers, mostly exaggerated ones that hearing it firsthand from the people involved (that’s us) still shocked her. We were all sitting around the table, with her insistence that Nadav stay with me. Louie was at the doorway, listening intently.

“What are you going to do with Roen?” Louie asked the question I really had no answer to. We haven’t heard from him after that night which made me more nervous. “If I had a son like him I would send him to Antarctica where he can throw tantrums and no one will get hurt in the process.”

“How is it even possible you and him are brothers?” Tracey mumbled. “I mean, it’s like a two year old is stuck in a 21 year old body…”

“We have the same dad?” Nadav said half jokingly. I was surprised Nadav let out that info easily. Maybe because he knew he can trust Tracey. “As for this bullheaded princess of mine, she insists she go back to her house. I’m not really sure when reporters will find out about her, but if they do, I’m sure they’ll be hounding her everywhere.”

“Okay, Nadav…let me remind you that before I was placed under the spotlight, I’m a nobody. I managed to stay this way for years and you can say I’m an expert at it.”

“Yeah, that’s how she is. She refuses to stand out, never demanding for any attention at all.” Tracey said. “I don’t think they’ll find her soon. Plus, she needs to work too, you know?”

Nadav sighed hard.

“I’ll only agree to this if you let me pick you up or have my assistant pick you up every morning and take you home after work. I’ll also assign a bodyguard-“

“Whoa, whoa! No one is out to kill me, okay? No bodyguard, alright?”

“But you agree to my first idea?”

“I’m compromising here, Nadav. If you ask me, I don’t need someone to drive me to and from work. But if this is the only way to make you take out the bodyguard option, then yes, I agree.”

Tracey and Louie watched our conversation with amusement. Tracey had been giving me knowing glances ever since we came. With that said, she’ll be interrogating me sooner or later about some details I’d rather not talk about in front of Nadav and Louie.

“So, how did it go?”

She said after we were left alone in the kitchen when Nadav went with Louie to discuss some issues about sound systems.

“What do you mean?”

“You know feigning ignorance isn't going to work with me, Isla. You know very well what I want to know. I know you had sex.”

“If you knew I did then why do you still ask?!”

My hand flew to my mouth. I just fell into Tracey’s trap.

“I knew it!!! Well, congratulations, Isla!”

“Keep it down, Tracey! It’s not something you’re supposed to congratulate me for."

“Yes, it is!!! Look at you, a complete woman now!”

I completely ignored Tracey and went to the study room to fetch Nadav.

“Can you take me home now? Please?”

“Sure, princess.”

I glared at Tracey who had been giggling as she made her way to the living room. She only found my reaction funny, not the fact that I just had sex for the first time at my age.
