"You wrote this?" Jaden asked as we sat in my car before school. Dixie and the boys were still in practice preparing for the games tonight.

I nodded smiling softly.

"I went to therapy for the first time and he told me to write. And this is the first thing I wrote. I recorded it this morning." I told him. "It's deep, the line about being the only safe haven you've known. I almost cried dude." He chuckled.

I laughed softly. "I appreciate that Jaden."

"No problem bro. Are you dropping it anytime soon?" He asked. "Probably gonna hold on to it for a second." I shook my head. "Well can you send it to me? I would love to listen to it again." He followed up.

"For sure." I nodded as the bell rang.

We grabbed our stuff heading inside talking along the way.

"You ready for tomorrow?" Jaden asked as we walked to his homeroom. "Oh for sure. Ready to kick some junior ass." I laughed softly. "Our team is good then?" He joked. "Hell yeah." I said just before I was pushed into a set of lockers.

"What the fuck!" I looked for the person who pushed me but I didn't have to look far seeing Griffin staring at me menacingly. "What the fuck is your problem!" I pushed him right back.

He smirked grabbing my shirt in his fist.

"Griffin, I'm gonna warn you now because I care about both of us not getting suspended. Get your fucking hands off of me in the next five seconds or I will beat your ass. Might I add again." I clenched my jaw. A crowd had formed around us.

"Griff dude, seriously just stop!" Jaden said. "Oh so you're her friend now?" Griffin yelled. "Dude nobody has sides we're just tired of you acting like a fucking psycho!" I yelled.

He tightened his grip on my shirt.

"You have three fucking seconds!" I said deathly low. He looked into my eyes, a glare that could cut through the thickest piece of glass meeting his gaze.

He let me go stepping back.

"This isn't over." He warned breaking through the crowd that had formed.

"You okay?" I turned towards Jaden. "Yeah, I should be asking you that though." He scoffed as we walked through people. "I'm good," I laughed. "He doesn't scare me." I shook my head.

"Well apparently he thinks otherwise." Jaden laughed. "Apparently." I agreed stopping at his homeroom door.

"Don't forget to send me that song!" He told me. "For sure, I'll send it as soon as I get to homeroom." I said before he walked into his classroom. I leaned against the lockers waiting for Dixie knowing she wasn't too far behind us.

"Did you forget I have your career in the palm of my hands?" I groaned. Does this dude ever quit.

"You literally don't." I rolled my eyes. "Oh but I do. See if I leak this Dixie will drop your ass quick." He leaned forward trying to intimidate me.

I laughed smirking as I popped off of the lockers that I was leaning on.

"So leak it," I challenged. He looked at me confused. "You want your girlfriend to find out?"

"I already know." Both of our heads turned to see Dixie, Addison and the twins not too far away from us.

"And I saw the stunt you pulled not too long ago." Dixie stepped in front of me.

"I'm gay Griffin! Accept it and move on! I never wanted you, you never had me and the only reason I agreed to go to your stupid party is because I wasn't out yet!" She said loud enough that if anyone within earshot could hear.
