Chapter 42

"Just like old times, brother"....

It reminded the twins, of how they fought alongside in the past. Willing to fight with each other then against...

[Flashback]

Blades clashed and created sparks. Many of the weaker blades was broken merely instantly. The raging Anacondrai had them at their edge. The twins are cornered, with their backs up against each other. Their armor busted and pieces missing. Many wounds showed underneath their clothing, but they refused to back down. "You're useless. Powerless! In no name do you have a title of being a elemental master!" One of the many generals barked. His eyes glaring down at the two. They glanced at each other in silence.

"We may spare your lives, if you give us the locations of the elemental alliance." He demanded as he pulled out his blade. The twins grin and pulled up their hoods and face cloths. "Yeah. Like we would ever tell you." They said in union and before the snakes landed a blow on them, Krux stopped them and lifted them up into the air. Acronix used his speed to create mass tension on them by hitting them all backwards. He especially did it on the general. "Now let's see if snakes can fly." Acronix laughed.

Krux released them all, watching as they all made great distance in every direction possible. The twins laughed and gave each other a high five. Acronix put his hand on his shoulder before he used his speed to get them both out of there. Leaving a very furious general. "YOU WILL PAY! I know EXACTLY who previously held that power. And they surely are not getting the last laugh." The general growled as he pushed himself up. Having a plan brewing in his mind before he slithered off...

[Present]

Acronix smiled lightly at the thought. "Lets do this hermano." He whispered. With that, they both kicked off each other and attacked. The gang was good. The twins would admit. But they wasn't slick enough, or faster. Especially fighting against a twin that actually has the time element flowing through his veins. Acronix bended backward to avoid a blow. Landing his hands firmly on the ground, he hoisted his legs upward and knocked the man backwards. Flipping over so that he wasn't upside down.

He saw a male flung over him. Krux landed beside him on hands and feet. Almost like a pushup position. "They are weak. Why not see if they can fly?" Krux whispered as he quickly got up. Acronix's eyes widen in joy as he froze those around the two. He stood up and let krux do the task this time. As it brought a good memory to them both.  Acronix quietly walked over and gave his brother a sudden hug. Making the other freeze for a moment. But he gently hugged him back. Them both not caring to watch the members fly into walls and bars of the cell room.

They stayed like that for a short while before Krux parted away. Giving a loving smile to the younger and gently touching his cheek. "Madre would be so proud of you hermano...she really would.." he said softly. Tears threatened his own eyes as he watched his brothers reaction turned mush. The younger quietly crying. "Thank you..." nixy muttered. He hugged the male again before he used his speed to jump up and climb into the tower. Be rubbed his eyes and pressed the button to release the cells.

He thought of an idea, but decided to hold off on it till the time comes. He jumped down to the ground and quietly smiled at his twin. Though the happy feels was interupted when a gas leaked Into the room. The main exits were closed off. But though the gas was not poison. To Krux's knowledge. It's a sleep gas. And by time they finally register what was going on. They all blacked out.

Waking up came with a severe headache. It made Krux groaned in annoyance. He sat up slowly and held his head. "What happened..?" He muttered. But realized he was in the cell all over again. He sighed quietly and got off the floor. Walking to the bars, he peered out. Everything seemed normal. "That was a bust." He muttered as he pressed his forehead against the door. Just now realizing how it's still open. He took guess that they forgot to lock it back up. But when he opened it, it created a shock that made him yelp and fall backwards.

A member laugh after hearing it. "He fell for it! I can't believe it!" He laughed, making Krux redden with embarrassment. "Fuck you!" He barked, but it only caused a few others to laugh. He hugged his knees and buried his face into his knees. Trying to shield away the humiliation. His eyes pricked with teats as he listened to the laughter. Quietly wishing for his brother to be next to him.

He took took few deep breaths to control himself. Relaxing into his legs. "Everything is ok..." he muttered to himself, to convince his mind that things was ok. At the time.

Looking back up, he finally got up once again. Despite with the invisible shock barrier that is place there. Knowing if he just makes it past it, he would be able to try to get everyone free. But once he tried to go with the idea, he had to stop himself. Knowing that trying to help everyone still won't show he is good to the city. If there was even much city left..

He sighed and relaxed himself, walking to the bed just little cross way. He sat down on the hard slab and layed down. "I'm sorry Madre...Padre....Desearía que ambos estuvieran aquí conmigo..." [I wish they were both here with me] he muttered to himself. Letting a few tears slip down his face. The lights cut out, signaling it was dark and that it's lights out. Though he didn't feel sleepy at all.

Just thinking about how all of this happened, make his brain ache. Even his heart ache worse. He caused so much that it entirely wasn't his fault. "One day tc...one day you will die..one day we will be free.." he muttered to no one as he just layed there, not caring for sleep till half hour later. Shutting his tired eyes, he was able to sleep. Though it wasn't a pleasant sleep at all.
