The day stretched on. For too long.
Acronix sat in his chair, the more worry built up on him.
The ninjas are out busy with a distress call, and all Acronix can do is sit here and wait.
Being tied down to the Monastery once again was tiresome. And that his brother is knocked out completely due to how tired he actually was. And sleeping on a comfortable bed eased him into it.
But it's just that not being able to see Cyrus really tugged against his heart. It's been weeks. How much longer does one need to take to stay hidden?
"Acronix? What seems to trouble you?" Wu asked softly, pulling Acronix out of his thoughts. "Oh uh...nothing.." he lied. Wu frowned at his friend and sat down next to him. "The ninjas have told me that you have connections to Cyrus. Do you perhaps miss him?" He spoken suddenly.
Acronix didn't want to admit, but he nodded slightly. "Yeah...I just....I never really experienced love...you know this...and it hurts right now...my chest feels swollen..." he admitted to the elder. Wu smiled lightly. "Would you like to know something that would ease your troubles?" He asked, Acronix tilted his head. "Cyrus is doing fine. He is at his tower right now. Even misses you." He softly mentioned to young twin.
"R-really?!" Acronix joyfully asked. "I just...why hasn't he come to see me? Or why hasn't he tried to contact me?" He quickly asked in a more sadden tone. "Because of there still a few gang members here and there from thr Sons of Garmadon. They are trying to track him down, but they are likely to be caught as we speek". Wu explained to the younger.
Acronix nodded and looked forward to the gate. Trying to get the thoughts out of his head. "How's my brother doing?" He asked suddenly to the elder that took a sip from his tea. "He is doing fine. But though I wonder...you claimed that Krux wasn't himself... during the entire time. That a being controlled him...mind explaining that?"
The black haired male look down, knowing very well that he eventually have to talk about TC. Even though he doesn't know much about the creature. He still felt like talking about it would lift the invisible weight off his chest. "Well..", he started off.
"The creature is called TC...or Time Corruption. From the time that took me to get back, even before that. The day of the funeral...his personality quickly changed around. I mean yeah he always was stubborn, even Madre says that. But he has never been like this towards anyone." The younger explained. His hands fidget slightly, showing how nervous he actually was.
"TC is able to control those who isn't able to keep their anger in check. And especially controls those who wants revenge. But only the ones who's been in the actual time Vortex, or who withholds the element. It is a gloopy monster that no one wants to see..", he huffed out.
Wu stayed silent the entire time, drinking his brewed tea. Taking a moment for his throat to cool down a bit before talking. "I remember TC. They was a friendly creature. But turned evil after Rhea gotten married; and after figuring out she was having you and your twin. I have a feeling of jealousy took over the poor thing. Because they didn't know emotions." He explained to the younger twin, who listened quietly to the information bestow apon him.
Wu continued. "She had to fight the creature. In a unknown place that she had to travel alone. Especially when pregnant. But she was lucky she was only a month pregnant. Or else she wouldn't be able to defend herself or her family. After all she did get sick quite easily and frequently. But it's how all elemental mothers are. They go through a process when their element transfers to the child. But sadly only your mother knows more of the creature then I do. Never had I fully got to know what it does or doesn't do." He explained further.
Giving the twin something to think about. "And certainly she didn't want to give up her children over the thing. You and your twin are really valuable to her. Not only you're her only children, but you both took over her element and started something anew. A split element, we don't know much over it but it is intriguing." Wu shut down Acronix's troubling thoughts before they even brewed up.
But it still remains. What was that energy surge the twins felt back then? Yes they was mad, and it vividly replayed in his head.
Them shooting beams of colored energies of respectful colors. What were those? In fact how can it be recreated without one being angry. It burned in his head for a while and he is unable to fully grasp the topic.
"Acronix? Wu?" A raspy voice called out. The two looked back to see Krux standing there, clearly still half asleep and having messy bed hair. His attire is somewhat kept, but he had to hold up his baggy pants, due to they are not originally his. "Morning sleepy head", Acronix beamed to his older brother. Making him lightly chuckle at his childish personality.
"Where have the others gone to?" Krux asked as he sat behind them. Forming a small triangle between the three. "On a distress call." Acronix replied, though Wu wanted to disagree. Krux took notice but didn't want to push him to say. "Alright.." he muttered, clearly still uneased about being here. "If you need to step away from the Monastery, you can. I understand why you may feel uncomfortable being here." Wu mentioned to Krux. He shrugged in response but didn't want to move.
"Hermano...brother...how are you able to get the element back..?" He asked, Acronix didn't have an assured answer for him.
He was still confused on how it actually transfered to him. ONLY him. If the element was split, certainly it would go to its original owners...right? But how can he be so sure? He knows well of Transferring the element to another person. But that cause it's person to person. Not blade to person.
The blades had to of been broken somehow in order to loose the connection. Right?
"Hermano? Estás bien? Are you ok?" "Ah..yeah...I just, don't have a exact answer to that. I don't even know myself of how I got it." Acronix admitted quickly. Krux frowned and nodded in acknowledgment. "The blades surely did not break, I know that." Wu mentioned. "Because Kai and Nya hidden the reversal blade once again. And the Iron Doom is no where to be found with the rest." He explained to the young masters.
"So...it had to be from the vortex..?" Acronix muttered, having Wu nod. "Only other logical explanation, because remember, your mother is connected to the vortex, so her spirit may rest there and seeked to your fall. But she would of split it for you both. Whatever reason your mother may have, if it was her, it's probably for reason." The elder explained. Krux didn't want to believe it, or get his hopes up. But his younger twin was chosen besides him.
It started a burning flame, but he stayed quiet. Trying to calm down the inferno that dares to rise and take control over him once more. "Mother did say..." Acronix started...
"That there is a destiny that resides for me and my twin. But she never told me what it was about..."
That set a burning act of curiosity to the other two.
