The Choice

Chapter 30

"Taylor! Do you not know about my history with Sam? I just found out that my sister isn't actually my sister but Abi is! Are you insane or something?!" I rip my hand out of his and stand above him shouting. Honestly, I don't care if anyone is watching us at this moment. I have found out that my sister isn't my sister!

"Look, babe, calm down," he takes my hand and tried to calm me.

"No! Get your act together Taylor! You can't ask me something like that an hour after I receive that information! Are you insane?!" By the end of my sentence I am in tears.

He stands up, wraps his arms around my shoulders and holds me close. Running his hand through my hair and wiping tears from my face.
"I take that as a no," he looks at me with sadness in his eyes.
"Ask me again soon," I force a smile, " you're my best friend, nothing can ruin that? It's just that I still feel as if Sam has a special place in my heart..." He rips his hands out of mine and starts heading home. Disappearing farther and farther until I can no longer see him...

What have I done?

I walk until I find a place with nobody around on the beach and sit down. I turn my phone off because the endless amount of texts coming through from Abi and Kian and everyone else. Matt more than anything. Bringing my knees up to my chest, I let it all out. Like flood gates have been opened. Hugging my knees tightly, I don't feel the presence next to me before o hear a cough. I snap my head up to see the one and only Sam Pottorff.

"Leave me alone," I beg.
Instead of responding, he wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me in close, with my head on his chest. He leans back and pulls me so I'm lying my head on him.

"Want to tell me why you're crying out here all alone when Taylor returned a couple hours ago?" He soothes.

"He asked me to be his girlfriend," I sniff. Sam places his hand gently under my chin and tilts it up so I'm looking at him.

"And you said no because......" He looks puzzled. What I am about to say is either going to help or make things worse.

"Because you. I'm so sorry Sam, I truly am! All of our history can never make me dream of being with anyone but you. I know you are the one for me and I was so stupid to let you go..." I start to stand up but feel his hand wrap around my wrist and pull me back down. He cups my jaw with his hands and kisses me once softly on my lips.

"Ria, will you take me back?" He sheepishly asks.

"I think the real question is will you take me back?" I smile and kiss him again.

Ok anyway, here it is. A very short unexpected chapter and turn out, sorry..
