"Of course I do sam. I love you too, will you please drive me to the o2l house? I have to see Kian." I beg him.
"Didn't you hear? Kian's in hospital..."
"What...when...why...who...how...?" I stuttered through every question beginner trying to find the right words.
"That night you had an argument, he drove off, thinking he could speed past the yellow light. A truck was coming the other way and hit him...I'm so sorry." He held me tight in his arms.
Without saying anything, Sam stood up, took my hand and took me to the car. "C'mon. We're going to see Kian, but he's in a coma."
I didn't say anything. I just 'hmmmm'ed'. The drive would normally take 10 minutes, but because of traffic, it took an hour. I feel so bad. If I didn't go mad at Kian he wouldn't be in this situation. I should've stayed in the car...
"This is all my fault.." I whisper through my tears.
"How?! How is this all your fault?" Sam rubs my hand with his thumb while concentrating on the road before him.
"If I didn't go mental at him for not knowing why I was sad, he would've been ok! All this happens because of me. I should've never have come here. If I didn't, you and Kian would be best friends, Kian wouldn't have been in a crash and Ellie would never have got raped! I'm a waste of space here Sam...I'm going back to Texas..." I managed to say before crying even harder than before.
"WHAT!" Sam slammed on the brakes and turned to look at me, "whatever happens, I will NOT let you go back to that guy you call a father. He is worse than anything I have ever imagined and I don't want you to go through that. Ria. Promise me you won't go back there!"
"But it's useless me being here...everything always gets ruined...I have ruined your lives." I murmured under my breath. Obviously not quiet enough because what Sam says shocks me.
"If anything, you've made our lives better. Did Kian tell you about his ex girlfriend, Andrea?" (I have nothing against Andrea either. But this story will work with her like this. You'll see what I mean.)
"No. I don't think so. Tell me later?" I ask.
"Sure."

At The Hospital - 1 Month Later
KIANS POV
I hear crying, lots of it to be exact. I can't move, nor can I speak or see. I can hear though, so that's ok. There's a constant beeping in my left ear. It's getting very irritating.
"Nurse, when will he wake up?" Says the person crying.
"I'm not too sure. But he's been in a coma for a month now. He can only be on life support for another week until we have to turn it off. I'm sorry if it comes to that." The nurse says.
More crying. I want to know who it is.
RIAS POV
Sam and I have been visiting the hospital everyday and night since I was told. I wish he would wake up. The nurses have made Sam and I up a bed to share in Kian's room. We only go back home to eat, shower and change then we come straight back. I was lay on my back beside Sam just thinking. What if Kian doesn't wake up? What if I will never hear his laugh again, see his smile and his sparkling brown eyes...? What if I can never tell him I love him again? I feel a hot tear roll down the side of my face.
SAMS POV
"Babe...what's wrong?" I look worryingly at my beautiful girlfriend lying beside me, crying silently to herself.
"What if he doesn't wake up Sam? What if I can never see the features that make him, him; his laugh, his smile, his eyes...?" She sniffs and sits up, facing me.
"Ria. Listen to me," she looks away instead. Then whips her head back to me, "he'll be ok. We all know that Kian's strong. He can get through this, trust me." I kiss her on the cheek and hold around her waist, pulling her to lie beside me.
"We should get some sleep. It's getting late." She whispers into my neck.
"Ye-" I was cut off to a flat beep of Kian's heart monitor...and the lights going out.
"NURSE!!!!" Ria screams at the top of her lungs. 2 nurses and 1 doctor come running into Kian's room.
"Don't worry, Miss....?" The nurse questions.
"Milton"
"Ah yes. Don't worry. There was a 10 minute power cut, the generator kicked in but there might be effects on Kian. You see, the life support stops working while running off the generator, it simply doesn't generate enough power to power all of them in the building. Sometimes, these things happen..." The nurse explains. Ria tucks herself into me and cries.
"I will be back in an hour. Say your goodbyes." The doctor said kind of rudely.
Ria and I shuffle over to Kian's bed. Ria takes his hand and says, "I'm so sorry, Kian! This is all my fault. It should've been me. If I didn't get angry at your for being misunderstanding, you would've never have been hit by that truck...I'm so so sorry..." She leans over and kisses him softly before turning to me and snuggling into me and crying.
