Prologue

It is pretentious of me to make a prologue at this point, but I will make an exception (TN: the author released the prologue the day after having released chapter fifteen), although more than a prologue it is a type of anecdote of how I met the comic from which this fanfic is based.
It is a blurry memory, but at the same time clear. Back in 2018, in my country, Nicaragua, there was a protest that little by little gave rise to a series of events that culminated in an economic collapse. Looking for news and information about what was happening, I entered Tumblr, it was there that I met the comic, but not finding the application comfortable for the enjoyment of reading, I gave up reading it. For some reason, the comic had captivated me because its scenarios, characters and plot were unique and original. I will never forget it.
Earlier this year, a Facebook page that officially translated the comic appeared on Twitter. I was very excited. I looked for it and devoured it in two days, then I moved to WebToons and since then I read it there.
The fanfic idea was a bit abstract at first. It usually comes as image sequences or a still image; in this case, I only caught a glimpse of Montimer, standing in front of a trail of blood on the snow, that was more or less like in February, but it wasn't until April — if I'm not mistaken — I started to write it since until that moment the idea was completely solidified. It is nothing like what I had in my head at first like everything is written, but it was faithful at all times to the image that I glimpsed in my mind. One of the most important changes and that I think was the most successful, was the species and appearance of one of the protagonists, without a doubt one of the most beloved of the work.
I know it is a short anecdote, but I am faithful to the motto: "God save us from long prologues". So I hope you enjoy this fanfic.
