Tommy walked a few paces in front of his older brother. He was just trying to get back as soon as possible to try and start work. It wasn't the best job, but he sure wasn't going to give it up now. Soon they were back at Phil's bookstore and Wilbur gave him a quick hug.

"Be safe..." he whispered his voice shaking slightly as if he were thinking about what could happen if Tommy were hurt. The blonde nodded pulling away and going to his job. Wilbur now entered the bookstore and Phil gave him a warm smile.

"You ready to work?" the man asked Wilbur who just simply nodded his mind being distracted. As he started sorting books into their shelves in alphabetical order his mind wandered the worst possible scenarios. What if Techno was hurt in the storm? What if Tommy was going to get beat up again? What if Phil was just using them like everyone else? He sniffled last nights storm catching up to him.

Phil finished serving a customer before going back to check on Wilbur. The brunette had finished his first shelf of books and now proceeded to start the next shelf.

"Your good at this," Phil chuckled surprising the 15-year-old.

"Uh yeah- sorry," Wilbur looked away his thoughts still coating his brain with a sick feeling.

"No, no," Phil rubbed the back of his neck. "It's a good thing, sorry." Phil now made his way back to the front of the shop to watch for customers. The day seemed to fly by quick whilst the three of them were working but it didn't fly by any faster for Techno.

He got caught in the storm and had thankfully found a big tree to shelter under. But his heart was racing. Not for himself but his brothers. The shed would 100% not hold through a storm like this and he knew that it might be a struggle for them both to get out in time. Let alone find somewhere else and grab everything.

After the storm had cleared up and the sun had risen enough, he nearly raced for the town again but having no sleep made him weary and he was exhausted when the marketplace came back into view. He hadn't been too much further from the town, but it was definitely a walk.

Techno walked civilly the rest of the way back into the woods. His thoughts were correct. The shed he called home had caved in and he gasped before approaching the flattened structure. He swallowed a sob trying to convince himself they made it out. Thankfully he noticed the white piece of paper laying in front of the destruction within a few seconds. The note read:

'Hey Techno, Tommy and I are alright we are at the bookstore if you can please come there as soon as you can, I got most of the important items, and Tommy says you're the second greatest person.'

Techno shook his head knowing it wasn't a trick due to the last part. Grabbing the note he sniffled before heading back towards town. Techno slipped and accidently rolled his ankle in a puddle on the way there. Limping the rest of the short distance he entered the bookstore. It looked like they were just closing up. He contemplated leaving before the adult blonde came to the counter.

"How may I-" he cut himself off. "Wilbur!" he yelled, and Techno's anxiety grew. Was his brother ok? Where's Tommy? The familiar chocolate brown hair made his countless questions quiet down slightly. Wilbur looked promptly exhausted, but he always did in Techno's opinion. The brunette's eyes perked up immediately after seeing the eldest.

"Techno!" he made his way over to Techno and hugged him tightly. "Oh thank god you're okay!" Techno sighed wrapping his arms around Wilbur slowly. The two seemed to relax in the embrace before Phil interrupted.

"Would you like me to find Tommy and take him home?" the adult asked feeling his heart warm his chest at the sight of the boys. Wilbur nodded lazily and Phil started closing up the shop. "I'll see you both at home in a bit okay." And he was gone. Wilbur started shaking in Techno's arms and it took him a second to realise he was sobbing.
