"Kristin?"

"Phil?"

Both boys watched in wonder as the two adults starred at each other for a while. Soon a cough came from the couch drawing everyone's attention. Kristin and Phil were both in front of Wilbur now fussing over what to do.

"Do you two uh..." Tommy chuckled nervously. "Know each other?"

"Yes," they replied in sync causing all boys to at least smirk, in Wilbur's case. The other two laughed either from stress or genuine happiness.

"You have pain killers?" Kristin questioned Phil who seemed to be a bit flustered when they made eye contact.

"Uh-," Phil thought for a second before lightbulb moment. "YES!" he raced upstairs to go retrieve said medication. Kristin seemed to have grown nervous from the blonde adult and smiled nicely to the boys. Phil came downstairs quickly holding the container of medication. It seemed half empty, but no one questioned why. Kristin took the container and read over it.

"He should only have one, once a day, and after eating," the woman announced. Phil nodded slowly. The blonde went to ask Techno if he ate anything today and the pinkette intervened and shook his head as soon as they made eye contact. Phil nodded slowly. And with that the brunette was attempting to get to his feet. Kristin was quick to stop him, but Wilbur was quick to resist.

"I'm okay," Wilbur sighed trying to stand but the adult's hands on his shoulders kept him secure on the couch.

"You are certainly not okay," Kristin reasoned but to no avail. Wilbur with a burst of strength freed himself from her grip and in turn the adult stumbled backwards into the table and landed on the floor with an 'oof'. Wilbur's vision spun for a few heartbeats before he stumbled towards whatever destination he was determined to go to. Techno was quick to his brother's aid but didn't take a hold of him. Instead he stood by making sure if the brunette were to collapse, he would be there. Phil had gone over and assisted Kristin, but she politely declined as she stood up watching closely.

"S-Sorry," Wilbur looked at her sadly, but she smiled and shook her head a silent declining of his sorry. "See... I'm okay." Oh how all four of the well people wanted to believe him. Wilbur swayed for a moment before straightening his posture. Techno now took a hold of his younger brother's arm.

"That's enough for today," Techno chuckled softly. "You still need to rest." Wilbur seemed confused and staggered backwards. Thankfully, Techno had a tight grip on him otherwise the brunette would be on the floor. Tommy being the next closest rested his hand on his older brother's back to steady him. Much to Tommy's displeasure his brother had lost his placement on his feet and fallen backwards taking the blonde down onto the floor with a thud.

"Shit," Wilbur breathed struggling to rise to his feet again. Tommy quickly freed himself beneath the elder as the adults were by the sickly child's side. Wilbur had proceeded to throw up and pass out for the rest of the night. Kristin had stayed over until nightfall and helped Phil plan some things to help with many of the issues. That's when Techno had learned of their financial issue. Tommy was too oblivious, and Techno was glad for that. The youngest stressed nearly as much as the middle child unfortunately. Bad habits die hard.

"You understand how expensive the treatment for this is?" Kristin seemed in shock at Phil's response.

"I do," Phil sighed. "I'm trying my best to afford it but I'm not even close to half way!" Kristin shushed him pointing to where the 3 were on the couch.

"If you're looking for a job, I'm sure you would qualify as an English teacher for our younger kids," she smiled sadly. "I can always use some of my own and-"

"That won't be necessary," Phil shook his head. "Maybe I'll get another job and start working a bit more, Techno is very capable of looking after the boys at least." Kristin seemed doubtful until an idea came to mind.

"I can watch them when you are at work," she beamed seemingly quite proud of her idea. "I've not got much experience with kids-"

"Neither"

"But I'm sure I can give it a shot!" Phil smiled sadly.

"I'm sure we will be perfectly fine, but thank you for the offers," Techno's heart sunk as he listened to the conversation. Kristin was definitely upset too but decided to play it off as if she didn't care as much as she really did.

"Fine," she shrugged. "Suit yourself. It was nice seeing you again Phil."

"You too," Kristin was quickly out of the door and everything was quiet for a bit. Until Techno was sure his younger brothers were asleep, he stood up careful not to disturb them and stood on the opposing side to Phil, the benchtop separating them.

"So..." Techno sighed. "What can I do to help?"

"Nothing Techno," Phil didn't meet the eldest's eyes. "I might take up that English teacher job and I may end up working later. You should be here to look after the boys."

"How about," Techno had already put together his proposition in his mind and was hopeful for Phil's agreeance. "You can work in the day, I can work in the night, on weekends we can both work and ask for Kristin to come over." Phil went quiet.

"Where would you work?"

"Secret."

"That fighting club or whatever?"

"Mhm."

"I don't want you to get hurt-"

"I won't, I'll be getting people hurt," Techno half smiled. Phil wasn't amused though. "You need the financial help and if you won't let her help us then you will let me help us." Phil sighed. He proceeded to shrug and meet Techno's eyes finally.

"Fine," Phil leaned towards Techno. "But if you get hurt even in the slightest way you will be grounded."
