Y/n's POV

"Class! we have a new student joining our class...Please welcome Billie"

He smiles bitterly towards Billie who was clutching her notebooks for dear life, she turned towards us smiling awkwardly.

"Where do I sit..?"

She mumbled to our teacher, I took in her appearance she was beautiful. She had a different style than most of the students here, I like that. Not to mention her eyes...they were captivating.

"Earth to Y/n..!"

I felt my face heat up as I shifted my gaze to the teacher, who was now staring directly at me with a stern look.

"Y...yes?"

"I said Billie is your new desk buddy."

Shaking his head he shrugged Billie off returning to his spot at his desk, I watched as Billie made her way over to me yanking the chair out from the desk placing herself in it.

"Can you move that."

I grabbed my bag and moved it away from her seat, I began picking my nails nervously glancing at her, she propped her head against her arm hovering over her notebook.

"Today we will be learning about poetry!"

Rolling my eyes I yanked my note pad and pencil out of my bag.

"What..? Don't like poetry..?"

She mumbled not even bothering to raise her head as she began writing, I hummed tapping my pencil.

"I'm not the biggest fan...I guess"

She nodded glancing at my pencil clenching her jaw.

"What is that? A habit?"

I stopped tapping my pencil sitting it down crossing my arms.

"Sorry."

I could've sworn I seen a smirk cross her lips.

~time skip~

"Remember class! Assignments are due tomorrow! I don't accept late work."

Sighing I gathered my things standing from my seat, I tossed my bag over my shoulder.

"You know it's time for lunch..right?"

Billie looked up from her phone raising a brow.

"Okay? Im waiting for my friend?"

A lopsided smile was on her face as she continued staring at me, I shook my head making my way towards the exit. Like sorry for trying to help!?

"Y/n!"

Turning I see my friend Loni making her way towards me frantically shoving through people.
