Billie's POV

"One of the sheriffs working on Loni's case wants to ask you a few questions..is that okay?"

I nodded crossing my arms over my chest, the sheriff pulled a chair out and sat in front of me.

"Ms Eilish..it seems someone put an anonymous tip in that you were the last person with Loni.."

My eyes stayed focused on the clock hanging on the wall.

"No..I've never really even hung out with her outside of school."

He nodded glancing between my mother and me.

"Why would this person assume this?"

I shrugged.

"Really don't know..but that's a weird thing to assume."

My nails dug into my arm as my brain was going a million miles a second. Who would've known that? They had to be guessing...or reaching.

"Okay..and you say you don't really know Loni correct?"

"That's correct I've only known what I've seen..which wasn't much."

"Alright.."

I watched as detectives came down the steps one was carrying a bag.

"Mind if we check the area outside?"

My mom glanced between them and me.

"Knock yourselves out.."

I forced a smile looking at the detectives, they walked by me going outside. Don't panic...don't panic.

"You alright?"

"Yes? Why wouldn't I be?"

I said looking at the officer.

"Just checking..so you were close to Y/n? Right?"

I nodded clearing my throat.

"She's sorta my girlfriend.."

Her dad was eyeballing me as I spoke.

"Okay.."

He was writing things down, which stressed me out even more.

"Well Ms Eilish...I think we're almost done here."

"Awesome.."

He stood up and whispered something to Mr Y/L/N to which he nodded and shrugged him off.

"Thank you for talking to him Billie"

He said smiling at me.

"Of course...I have nothing to hide."

He nodded looking at my mom.

"I like the new patio..it really suits the place."

"Oh thank you..Billie picked that out isn't that nice of her?"
