Y/n's POV

I walked into boring old poetry class, Billie randomly vanished. I haven't seen her since Monday...it's now Thursday. It almost feels as if she's been avoiding me...or everyone maybe.

"Ah Y/n! Welcome!"

I smiled towards the teacher while making my way to my seat, once again I was left with an empty dusty chair..

"I'm beginning to think you scared your partner away miss Y/L/N..."

Forcing a laugh I sat my materials needed for class out.

"It's not on me that she hasn't been to school all week.."

I quickly mumbled while reading over my poem.

"Oh no she's dropped her course assignments off..she just said she will no longer be attending in person classes...some sort of academic activity.."

I felt my heart pain as he said that, is she avoiding me? Why wouldn't she want to attend class anymore.

Billie's POV

"You can't avoid people forever.."

Looking past the brunette my eyes met the clock above her head.

"I know.."

"Then why not face them head on..?"

It felt as if my airway was closing as she said that, it sent my body into a panic frenzy.

"Because..I don't like that"

"You seem to not like anything."

She chuckled writing something probably cocky on her notepad, god that notepad irritates the shit out of me. What could she possibly be writing..

"She's just...so nice for no reason...people aren't just nice?"

I watched as she shifted her right leg to cross her left, she was observing me as if I was glass going to shatter at any point.

"Oh Billie there's lots of nice people in this world.."

"Well not to me."

I stood from my seat making my way towards her office door, she called after my continuously but I kept walking. I don't need people thinking I'm some fragile bitch.

"Wow that was fast!"

My mom stood from her chair looking at me concern written all over her face. I gave my best smile walking past her.

"Im improving mom.."

"Oh honey..that's...that's amazing did she diagnose you?"

I clenched my jaw continuing my way to the car.
