Fire on Fire

Ben pushed Miranda back into their bedroom. "Go in the bathroom, grab a towel and run water on it. Put it on your face to help prevent smoke inhalation." Miranda ran into the bathroom and did as she was told.
The fire was spreading quickly, and Ben had to work quickly. He grabbed his phone and dialed 9-1-1. He told them that his house was on fire and specifically asked for Station 19. Ben heard Danis cries which made him run into her room. "Daddy!" she called out as he ran through the door.
"It's ok baby girl." Ben picked up Dani who was still crying and headed out the door, but it collapsed before he could get out. "Damnit!"Ben said as he started to panic. Being a firefighter he was prepared for stuff like this, but with no equipment he was useless. Ben then remembered that there was a bathroom connected to Danis room and quickly ran inside closing the door behind him. He sat Dani on the floor and gabbed a towel. He ran water on the towel and put it up to her face. "Can you hold that on your face for me." Ben asked reaching for his phone.
Dani shook her head and held the towel up to her face.
Ben called Miranda to see if she was ok. "Hello." Miranda said with her voice shaky.
"Miranda, are you ok?" Ben asked trying to calm himself down.
"I'm fine. It's a little lonely in here."
"They should be here soon to get us out."
It got silent for a minute. "Is she ok?" Miranda asked breaking the silence.
"She's fine. Hold on." Ben handed the phone to Dani, "you want to talk to mama?"
Dani shook her head and held the phone to her ear. "Mama?"
"Hi baby. Are you ok?" Miranda asked letting herself relax.
"Yes!" Dani said.
"Good. Listen to your daddy ok."
"Ok."
"I love you."
"I love you to mama." Dani handed the phone back to Ben. "Miranda you still there?"
"Yes i'm not going anywhere." Miranda laid against the wall letting out a loud sigh.
They sat and waited for the firefighters to come. It felt like they were waiting forever, but they finally heard the sirens outside. The fire had started to come upstairs and it was getting harder to breathe. "Daddy i'm scared." Dani said scooting closer to Ben.
"I know baby. It's going to be ok." Ben pulled her in closer to him.
Ben heard the firefighters break the door down into the house. He didn't know if it was 19 or not because he couldn't hear their voices.
"They're here." Miranda said over the phone.
Ben jumped a little forgetting she was there."I know. They'll get us out." Ben said couching.
"Are you ok?"
"The smoke is getting thick. I think the roof is about to give in, and it's getting harder to breathe."
"Ben they're going to get us out ok."
There was no response. "Ben, you still there?" Miranda looked at her phone and saw that it had died "Damnit!" Miranda through her phone on the floor. Suddenly the bedroom door open, and next the bathroom door opened. "Bailey?" Dean called out to her.
"Miller, took you long enough." Miranda said standing up from the bathroom floor.
"Is Ben here with you?"
"Yes he's with Dani in her room. He said it looked like the roof was about to give in. They're going to be ok right?"
"Let's worry about you right now. The rest of the team has them."
Dean took his oxygen mask off of his self and put it on Miranda. He guided her down the stairs and out the house. Miranda was sat down on the side of an ambulance. "Are you ok, any injuries?" a parametric asked her.
"No i'm fine." Miranda said staring at her house that was burning right in front of her eyes."
"Bailey they're going to get them out." Dean put his hand on Miranda's shoulder.

In the burning house Maya and Andy were going inside every room in the house to find Ben and Dani. "Do you see them?" Maya called out.
"No!" Andy yelled back.
They came up to the collapsed door. Andy and Maya looked at each other knowing what they had to do.
"Guys you need to hurry up. The roof is about to give in!" Vic yelled into the walkie-talkie.
There was no responses."Herrera! Bishop!" she yelled again, "do you copy?"
"Copy!" Andy yelled, "how long do we have?"
"5 minutes tops."
Maya looked at Andy shaking her head "That's not enough time."
"Well we have to make it work today." Andy grabbed her ax and started beating at the debris that was once a door. Maya followed and started hitting it as well. "Do you see them yet!?" Andy yelled.
"No! Not yet!" Maya yelled back.
"2 minutes! You guys have 2 minutes, so I need you to hurry up and get the hell out of there." Vic was whisper yelling so she wouldn't frighten Miranda even more.
Maya and Andy finally got past the doorway and looked around the room. Still no sight of Ben or Dani. Maya heard a small couch coming from the bathroom. "In there!" Maya ran towards the door and busted it open,"Warren!"
"Take her please, she blacked out a few minutes ago." Ben said handing Dani to Andy.
Andy ran out of the burning building with Dani in her arms. "I need a gurney and oxygen over here!"
Miranda ran over to Danis side. "Is she ok?" She asked rubbing Danis hair back out of her face.
Andy ignored Miranda's question. "Take her to Grey Sloan." Andy told the paramedics.
"Where's is Ben?" Miranda asked before getting in the ambulance.
"Maya is getting him out. He'll meet you at the hospital." Andy responded looking back at the burning house.
Miranda got in the back of the ambulance and they headed to Grey Sloan, and she held on to Danis hand this whole time.

"I tried to keep her awake but she kept going in and out." Ben said while standing up with the help of Maya.
"It's ok. The hospital will take care of her. We need to get you out of here." Maya said helping him out of the burning house.
"I tried to save her, the best way I knew how. They know that right? Ben said as Maya directed him to a gurney.
"Vic!" Maya waved to her
"What's up?" Vic said running towards Ben and Maya.
"Somethings wrong."
"Smoke inhalation? It's common with fires."
"No it's not that. He was saying  i tried to save her, the best way I knew how. I don't know who he was talking about."
"When he gets to the hospital they'll check him out. I'm sure he's fine." Vic said as the ambulance doors closed.
"I hope so." Maya whispered as she shook her head, "please let him be ok."
