"Are you kidding me?!" I screamed at my best friend. Well, ex-best friend. She had just confessed to me her crush on my boyfriend, Jeon Jungkook. "Why would I kid you?" she smirked, crossing her arms and legs. "He likes me too, you know," I stopped pacing and looked at her in disbelief. She just smugly smiled at me and I wanted to slap that smirk straight off her face. "You're nothing compared to me," she boasted. "Of course he likes me back,"

I pulled her to her feet and pointed towards the door. "Get out," I said. "GET OUT!" She just looked at me with that infuriating expression one last time before sashaying out. I slammed the door behind her and leaned back against it, dropping down to the floor and bursting into tears. I loved and trusted Jungkook, but she was right. She was more beautiful, richer, and smarter than me. Any boy would pick her over me..

Then I heard a key turn in the lock and I knew Jungkook had come home. Sad and too scared to face him, I ran upstairs through our bedroom straight into the bathroom, locking the door and hoping he would think it was that time of the month. I heard Jungkook call, "Baby?" as he walked up the stairs and into our room to change into something more comfortable. "Where are you?" "Just sorting out some stuff!" I called back, trying not to make it obvious that I had been crying.

After a few minutes, Jungkook lightly knocked at the door and said, "Baby? Are you done? I need to take a shower," I replied, "Wait a second," "What's taking so long?" "It's that time of the month, you know?" I lied through my teeth. "Baby," he sighed. "That was 2 weeks ago," "Was it?" "C'mon, open the door,"

I finally gave in, unlocking the door and walking into our bedroom. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" he asked, noticing my wan expression. "Nothing, I'm fine," I sighed, falling onto our bed and laying on my side, turning away from him.  He sat on the edge of the bed, leaned over, and pulled me to face him. "You can't fool me, baby," "I'm fine, stop asking," "Baby, tell me what happened," "I said I'm fine!" I yelled, suddenly annoyed with him. I picked up my plushie and walked out of the room, saying icily over my shoulder, "I'll sleep in the guest room tonight,"

I laid in bed that night, feeling guilty over the way I had yelled at him. He was just worried. I eventually got out of bed and walked back to our room, seeing Jungkook lying in bed, his back towards me. I slid into the sheets and wrapped an arm around his waist, placing a kiss on his shoulder, whispering, "I'm sorry, Kookie. I shouldn't have yelled at you." He suddenly turned around, taking my hands in his. "So what's wrong?" I told him everything, and he sighed and brushed a strand of hair out of my eyes. I sighed too, not knowing what to say as silence filled the air.

"You know I don't like her right?" Jungkook's voice cut into the darkness. "Why don't you? She's a million times better than me, more beautiful, and smarter," "Because," and I could tell he was smiling. "In my eyes, you're a billion times more beautiful and smarter than any girl in the world," I propped myself up on my elbow. "Really?" "Yes, really," he leaned up to kiss me. I laid my head onto his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "I love you, baby," he whispered into my hair. "Only you,"
