Tabitha's POV
***
"Tabitha"
"Go away," I mumble, pushing my face deeper into my pillow.
"Tabitha"
Another shake to my shoulder.
"Tommy, I swear to god," I mutter, rubbing my eyes as I sit up. "What's so important that you have to wake me up so early all the damn time?"
My eyes adjust to the light from the sun coming into my window and I see Tommy stood by my bed, fully dressed and smiling.
"What?" I groan, grabbing my phone to check the time.
Shit, it's eleven am.
I look back up at Tommy and he chuckles, shaking his head.
"Phil asked if we wanted to go for a drive with him and get to know the area a bit more"
I nod. That sounds like a nice idea.
"I'll be down in five," I respond, throwing the duvet off me.
Tommy nods and leaves my bedroom. I walk towards my bathroom, feeling dizzy after getting up too quickly, and turn on the tap.
Warm water fills my cupped hands and I splash it on my face, clearing away the sleepy dust and blurriness from my eyes. I then pat my face dry, brush my hair, clean my teeth and put on some mascara.
I pull my hair up into a messy high ponytail and drag out a few strands at the front to give the hairstyle a softer look. I then pocket my phone and head downstairs to join Phil and Tommy.

"That's the farmers market," Phil points out, driving past cute wooden carts filled with fresh fruit and veg from nearby farms. "That's where I usually buy most of our food from. They also have good poultry and fresh beef"
I look out the window at the cows, chickens and pigs behind fences of neighbouring farms. They look calm as they chew grass and plod about.
"Can I moo at them?" Tommy asks, grinning like an excited five-year-old.
Phil sighs, but smiles and laughs when Tommy rolls his window down, proceeding to moo at the cows as we drive past. I smile too, unable to contain it.
"There's the pharmacy, supermarket and bank," Phil explains, driving past the small buildings. "Further down the road, we'll pass the car wash and vet"
The town in where we live seems to be so big yet so small at the same time. It's beautiful, and I can definitely say I prefer living here in the countryside rather than the city.

When we get home, Phil makes Tommy, me and him some pizza bagels.
Phil slices three bagels in half before applying tomato sauce, a healthy amount of cheese and our choice of toppings. Phil goes with pepperoni, black olives and onion, Tommy chooses chicken and peppers, and I add basil and sausage bits to mine.
Phil pops the bagels in the oven to cook and sets a timer before joining Tommy and I at the kitchen table.
"How are you two feeling about being here?"
