Under It All || Reddie

Chapter 15; Go.

Sonia and Eddie went inside, and sat down at the kitchen table in silence.

"Mom I...I just hope you know I still love you, even though your kicking me out I-" Eddie began to speak but Sonia cut him off.
"Eddie, you said you where the one leaving when we got into that argument, remember? When you told me you where...sick." Sonia said straightening her back refusing to say the word gay.
"Mom. I'm not sick, you just don't know what love feels likes because dad left us when I was younger, and you still call act like he's around when h-he's not so please stop acting like you do know what it's liked to be loved, I didn't and now...now I'm with Richie, and I even think Richies mom likes me more then you do!" Eddie said talking in a fast tone, with tears slowly filling his eyes.
"Eddie I thought we'd be able to talk, but clearly we can't, go." Sonia said pointing at the door with one hand.
"Mom no no I'm sorry we can talk please." Eddie said calming himself down.
"No we can't, go." Sonia said standing up and pushing in her chair and refusing to make eye contact with Eddie. Eddie got up pushed in his chair and ran out the door wiping away his tears.
"I'm- I'm gonna ride my bike home...Mrs.Tozier is that ok?" Eddie said looking at the car from a distance.
"Are you sure Ed's?" Richie said looking out the car window, worried.
"Ya I'll be home...home in a hour." Eddie said still getting used to calling Richies home his home.
"Ok Eddie don't stay out past an hour. Have fun sweetie." Mrs.Tozier said.
"Thanks." Eddie said grabbing his bike from the garage.

Eddie began pedaling and was riding his bike, he didn't know where, just forward.
Richie and Mrs.Tozier arrived home and unloaded some of Eddies things into there bedroom.

"So...Mom Eddies not here can we talk about dad now?" Richie said while setting Eddies box of Medication on the kitchen table and sitting down.
"Sweetie, I'm sorry I haven't told you...but" Richies moms eyes filled with tears.
"I caught your dad with another woman and I kicked him out, I-I wasn't thinking I'm sorry, I said he could take whatever and leave, as long as he didn't take you." Richies mom said also sitting down at the kitchen table with a waded up tissue in her hand.
"Mom...it's ok I-I thought he just left because Eddie was moving in, I'm just happy you cleared that up. He was a dick anyways." Richie said reaching out and grabbing his mom small, frail hand.
"Ya." Mrs.Tozier chuckled." It's almost been an hour Eddie is gonna be home soon, I should start cooking dinner." Mrs Tozier said finishing her sentence.
"Ok mom...want help?" Richie said standing up and pushing in his chair.
"No but," Mrs.Tozier said fumbling around in her pocket looking for a paper,"can you get these things from the store? Take your bike but get home before dark ok?" Richies mom said handing him the list.
"Sure mom, but what about Eddie?" Richie said grabbing the list.
"I'll be here when he gets home don't worry, I know how to treat a teen boy, I mean I raised you didn't I?" Richies mom said smiling for the first time in a while.

Eddie and Richie ended up both at the grocery store, Eddie just walking around and Richie shopping with the money and list his mom gave him.

"Ed's!" Richie yelled at Eddie while turning the corner into the candy isle.
"Oh hey Chee, sorry for taking a bit longer I just was hungry and you guys don't have any food so I came here why are you here-" Eddie started saying but his jaw dropped when he looked past Richie to see Mr.Tozier standing there with a shopping basket in his hand looking at the meat section.
What Eddie spaghetti? what are you looking-" Richie said also turning around to see the same thing Eddie saw. Richies dad standing there with a basket in his hand and his other hand holding onto a shorter woman next to him, maybe early 30's, her face caked with makeup.

"Holy shit." Eddie said grabbing Richies hand.
"That's her." Richie said under his breath.
"Wait what?" Eddie said turning towards Richie, whispering as well.
"My mom while you where gonna told me why my dad left, she caught him with another women." Richie said pulling Eddie to hide behind a stand.
"Oh I'm so sorry Chee." Eddie said looking back at Richies dad who was leaving the meat isle, but Eddie was reassured he wasn't the reason Richies dad left.
"I'm fine." Richie said under his breath.
"Look I know your mad but now isn't the time to confront him in the middle of the store." Eddie said grabbing Richies arm.
"I know your right. But I don't care, he-he." Richie said stoping himself after realizing his dad had paid for his items and left the store already.
"Let's just finish shopping and go home." Richie said mad, and putting a box of cereal in his cart.

The two boys rode home on there bikes with grocery bags dangling from there bike handles.
They arrived home and sat the groceries on the kitchen counter.

"So Eddie you where at the store?" Richies mom said putting the milk in the fridge.
"Ya I was um looking for candy, where does this go?" Eddie said holding up a box of tampons uncomfortably.
"Sorry I'll take those." Richies mom said grabbing them from Eddies hand. Mrs.Tozier walked into her bathroom and put them in her cupboard.

"Chee...are you gonna talk to your mom about what happens in the store?" Eddie said lowering his tone and walking closer to Richie putting his hand on his back.
"No not tonight, she's...still processing it, come on let's go upstairs while she finishes cooking dinner.
"Oh-oh ok." Eddie said setting down a brand new role of paper towels down and following Richie up the stairs.

"I was worried about you. You know." Richie said sliding off his shoes and closing the door.
"Ya..sorry I should've told you where I was going." Eddie said also sliding off his shoes and sitting in Richies bed.
"As long as your ok." Richie said sighing and sitting next to Eddie on the bed kissing him warmly on the cheek. Eddie then blushed and turned around to kiss Richie, on the lips.
"I love you Chee, just sometimes I feel like I'm intruding your life, moving in with you." Eddie said looking at a spot on the bed and not looking away.
"Ed's your the best thing that's happened to me...I'm glad your living with me now, I don't have to think about what your doing when I'm not with you." Richie said with a smirk on his face and grabbing Eddies chin , tilting it up slightly to make eye contact. Richie and Eddie both started blushing.
"Boys! Dinners ready!" Richies mom said from down stairs.
"Ok mom! Be there in a sec." Richie replied shouting slightly.
"But first." Richie said softly kissing Eddie on the lips.
"Ok now I'm ready." Richie said smiling and standing up to go down stares looking back at Eddie who was behind him, blushing.
