Carrie gasps as she finishes sipping from her cherry smoothie "we forgot to ask you about it, what happened?"
I munch on my sandwich a few seconds before answering her "Nothing, well we're back to normal, if that was normal before..." I shook my head "no, we're friends again"
We are and we're going to stay that way.
"Really?" Michelle raising her eyebrows "It doesn't seem like you want it that way"
I slam my hand down on the deck "What!" I huff as I feel myself get riled up, my heart beat increasing "is is that obvious?"
"No" Michelle shakes her head "Not at all from anyone else but we do know you story after all"
"I can't really do anything" I shrug "he has the nicest girlfriend, she's just too sweet!" I sigh.
"Sweet? How do you know that" Carrie exclaims.
"She" I gulp "came into the store to find Andrew"
"That bitch!" Carrie yells.
I wince from the expected yell and shush her.
"She obviously knows you, why else would she go to meet him at such a place. She's afraid that you'll take him away" Carrie huffs crossing her arms.
Michelle just silently listens to our conversation as she bites her pizza.
What a mind Carrie has. Melissa knows me? She's afraid? Yeah right. Though... what was worried face?
"Look guys, she's not a bitch she's-"
"Hey"
I turn around and flash a smile as Carrie dies down, not making a peep of noise "Hey, what's up?"
"What was the art thing we had to do?" Andrew asks as he sits down in the empty chair next to me.
I stare at him for a second, just admiring his appearance, his just dreamy eyes and wavy hair before thinking about the question he just asked me. He is just too cute that I feel my cheeks get hot so I clear my throat to guide myself away.
Oblivious to the fact that Carrie grew wide eyed he waits for my answer.
"Ummmm" I think aloud "Oh, you have to write down 5 facts and things about what you want to sculpt"
"Oh, awesome" he said as he took out a piece of paper and started to scribble on it.
I start to drift off and look at other things as he writes. Carrie mouthing something to Michelle, jocks arguing about the Superbowl and cheerleaders practicing in the small space in the middle of the cafeteria.
His sudden yell pulls me back "Great! done" he says as he gets up from his chair and waves "I'll see ya in art, bye"
"How the hell did you guys become so close when you were just avoiding each other last week?" Michelle asks.
"I don't know... we just cleared everything up"
Why were we so close now?
"Didn't you say you were going to stay away from him?" Carrie whispers.
"Yea I thought that would be the best" I scratch my head "but then... when I finally came to terms that I started to like him again and talked to him, it was fine, I didn't have as much problems as before. It's just weird but nice"
"It'd be fine just to stay friends with him right? Nothing could possibly go wrong. I'm definitely sure of it, we can all just stay friends, right? Something in the back of my mind nudged me to think more but I shook it off.
"I really hope you're making the right choice Mai" Carrie cocks her head "we just don't want you to get hurt"
I laugh silently "it's okay, I won't get hurt I promised myself to just stay friends with him"
I sigh as I check the time and jump off my chair "Well, I have to go but no more talking about this right? We are just friends"
Michelle rolls her eyes "Yes madame"

"Wait so how are we suppose to sculpt our thing?" Micheal asks with his eyebrows raised.
"We're suppose to make coils" Andrew laughs while I roll my eyes and work on my design.
We were making pots of something by rolling clay into coils. I think I'm going to make a regular vase but with one side as smooth as possible while the other was just coily, if that was a word.
I stare at Andrew as he talks to other guys, hysterically laughing at what they say. The way he scrunched up his eyebrows and closes his eyes as he laughed was adorable. The expressions on his face were just everlasting.
I must've been staring to long since I felt someone tap me.
I turn around to see Micheal staring and whispers "you like him huh?"
I lean backwards as I stare at Andrew and back to Micheal, feeling the heat rise up again.
"I can tell Mai" he chuckles.
It isn't meant to be though.
"Yea" I smile sadly.
"You guys look cute together" He smiles "how come you don't, y'know just tell him" he says as he nods to Andrew who was now in an seemly intense conversation.
"It wouldn't work" I shook my head "he has this amazing, nice, model girlfriend, Melissa and I don't want to break that" I sigh.
I do want him, of course I did.
"Wait"
I peer up at him from my lap, his eyes grow out of the amusing atomosphere and into a serious tone.
"Who is Andrew dating?" he asks.
What? Did he know her? Did they date before?!
"M-Melissa" I whisper as I look back at the teacher who was critiquing the other students.
I hear Micheal scoff and lean back in astonishment.
"What, why" I ask.
I suddenly realize that the laughter had died down, the room was silent now. I look back at Andrew whose eyes met with mine, I feel my heart skip a beat as I looked into his just beautiful eyes. Was I being incredibly stupid for continuing to like him? yes, a million times yes.
He mouths and cocks his head "What's wrong?"
I shook my head as I lean in closer to whisper to Micheal "Why Micheal?"
I could feel Andrew's eyes as I creep closer to Micheal. Goosebumps rise and the hair son my back stood up as he continued.
Micheal brakes from his train of thought and moves closer towards my ear, so no one would hear.
Disappointingly he sighs and says "My sister, Melissa's my sister"
long chapter! yay! How is it so far???
