shooooort chapter but I'll probably post another one later today! While I was naming this chapter I kept thinking about the song Apologize by Onerepublic..
I was just in the midst of packing up for the day in world history. Freaking crazy teacher, she just finished telling us about her grandfather fighting in a war and her father working at McDonald's. I have no idea what we're going to do for the midterm since she always talks about how she's a quarter not half but a quarter french and 3 quarters Italian. Yea like we really care about your past Ms. Williams, we just want to know about the stupid Bolshevik Revolution.
"Mai" Jason calls out "some guy's waiting outside for you" announcing out loud as he sticks his head back into the room.
My heart skipped a beat. Was it him?
"Who is it? I ask as I stuff my binder in my bag.
"Um he said his name was Mike? No, it was Micheal" Jason says as he leaves the room "have fun"
I was so stupid. Why would he be waiting for me. After all it's not like we kept in contact for these short 4 years.
I put on my best smile as I walk out the door to see Micheal leaning on the lockers looking confused on his phone. I wonder what it was.
"Hey" I wave, everyone had dispersed in the hallways by the time I stepped out "what's up?"
"You forgot this in English" he says as takes it out from behind him and hands me my cardigan.
What? What? "Thanks, I totally forgot about it" I laugh "so what are you planning to do now? After your first day of school" I ask as I walk along the halls.
"I don't know, maybe catch up on tons work in the library" he laughs weakly while rubbing his neck.
"Haha, have fun with that then. I'm need to get to my locker" I wave "oh, and thanks for giving me my cardigan back!"
I hum to myself as I turn a corner and go to my locker. Hmm, Micheal's really nice, he even went out of his way to find where I was last period.
I turn the dials on the lock, opening my locker and just as I'm just about to put in my ear buds...
"Hey"
I pause for a second. My heart races at the voice. Now, I should do it now I guess. Wait, I have to meet Carrie in the cafe, we have to study. No! I need to stand my ground and just apologize. I need to get this off my chest.
I stare at my binder on the shelf of my locker and take a deep breathe before finally having the courage to look at him.
"Andrew" I say as I look him in the eye "hi".
Carrie was right. His freaking hazel eyes and wavy hair. He was a total hunk.
