weird, I can't put this stupid book into teen fiction, it won't let me why does it always go back to random >.< what the hell!
"It's nice to see some familiar faces this year" Mr. G says as he walks around the room.
I look down and my hands. Why did he have to sit at my table. Yeah, he's not doing anything and he didn't do anything wrong to me but it's still irks me.
The age old question. Why the fuck didn't he remember?
I clench my hands and rest my head down on the table. Nope, nope, nooooooope. No fucking more.
"Are you ok Mai?" Mr. G asks "Do you want to go to the nurse?"
I laugh weakly "No, it's ok, just a minor headache".
Not minor, not at all. I move my head so my forehead is at the edge of the table.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Micheal asks.
I bring my head up a little while Mr. G talks about the art of ceramics. I see Andrew curiously looking at me across the table and weakly smile, quickly looking back at Micheal.
"Yea, I'm fine, really"
"Oh, I wanted to ask about the English essay due next week" he brings up.
"Oh yeah" I smile.
"But of course, not right now" he nods.
I laugh "Here" I say as I write down my number "ask me all the questions you want".
No harm no foul. Happy to help anyone in need.
I rested my head on my palm with my elbow on the table for the rest of the period. The headache still nauseating.
As the bell rand I lifted myself off the chair and start to drag myself through the door when some dumbass bumps into me and keeps walking without saying sorry.
"Mai, I think you should really go to the nurse, I'll call your next class for you" Mr. G says.
"Thanks Mr. G, it's world history, Ms. Williams"
"Okay, ummm. Micheal, can you come help her to the nurse? I'll write you a pass" Mr. G says as he scribbles a note, not taking no for and answer. Boy was this weird. We were always together one way or another.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Andrew staring for a few seconds before he walks out. What, did I have something on my face?
I put hand on his shoulder for support as he took the pass from Mr. G.
"Bye" I waved.
"Feel better" He worriedly says.
As we walk down the hall we gain more attention. I grow sleepier by the second, with every step I feel my eye lids drooping and soon I shut them completely.
"Mai.... Mai!" I hear Micheal say. Sorry Micheal, I can't make it to the nurse with you. I'll just sleep right here.
-----------
"Mai, honey" Someone says as I feel a nudge "Wake up".
I open my eyes a little and I see a poster with names of diseases, I turn my head and see the nurse staring at me.
"Are you alright? Your friend said that you suddenly just fainted and carried you here" She says with a concerned face.
My eyes widen, poor Micheal had to carry me all the way here.
"Do you have any... medical disorders that I should know about cause your file has none" She says as she flips through some papers.
"What?"
"You seem to have an extremely unregular heartbeat not to mention the headaches and fainting" she sighs "I would recommend seeing a doctor Mai..."
Are you serious? I might have a disorder? Like what?!
"I called your parents in to talk about it, they should actually be here any minute" she says looking at the clock.
I sigh, staying silent the whole time. I just hope it's nothing serious.
---------
"Mai, Mai. Mai?" My mom asks as we drive home "do you want to schedule an appointment for tomorrow".
I stare out the window as we pass the school and the hundred students that were in it.
I nod in response, sure, why not. The sooner I know what it is the better right?
