Jennie

Living with a dark past has never been easy. But I change for the better for the sake of my family. Yet I never knew I get to see something that wakes my nightmare.

I'm in shock, horrified to see the twins splattered in blood. How Limario reminded me of Jisoo unnie's ill-temper back then along with Jessa's cold smirk from me.

As their mother, this is pure torture.

"My babies, you're all dirty." Lisa kneels in front of them, caressing their cheeks with a soft smile. How can she be so calm about this? "Why don't we take a bath?"

Jessa nods and pinches her nose, glaring at Lio.

"Yeah, we should Daddy. Lio stinks already."

"I don't. Your breath does!" Limario seethes which makes my little girl scoff and flips her hair.

"I brush three times a day. You only do it when Ella Noona is mad."

"You witch," Lio growls, glaring at her sister.

Jessa sticks out her tongue. "You looney."

Lio lifts his fist, about to punch Jessa when I push them away.

"Enough!"

"Mommy..." 

The kids are scared at my outburst, hiding behind Lisa's legs with a pout. But I feel miserable processing everything that's happening here.

"Jennie. Don't shout at them." I ignore Lisa and stare intently at the twins with my raging heart.

"What did you do to the cat, twins!?" I fume, making Lio flinch while Jessa only stares blankly at me. Lio steps out and shows me his scratch on his hand.

"Luca scratched me, Mommy. It hurts."

I scoff, grimacing at the thought. "And you killed Luca just for that?"

"And I helped him Mommy. I was bored." I want to cry after hearing that from Jessa. 

I never wish for them to be like this. But I'm starting to taste my own medicine that I've been trying to avoid. I pull my hair, frustration is smothering me.

"Kids! You killed an innocent cat! How could you do that to Luca!"

The twins' cries echo in the yard while I spank them with my hand. But Lisa pushes me away from them as I try to calm myself.

"Jennie, don't hurt them!"

Lisa grits her teeth on me, whispering angrily. But I shove her hands away and stare ludicrously at her.

"What the fuck, Lisa? Why are you so cool about this? You know very well how this is going!"

Lisa cups my cheek, soothing me as she kisses my forehead. 

"Just don't hurt them, please."

Lisa makes sure I'm already calm before she takes the twins to the bathroom. Our butler and the maids bury Luca in the yard while I check Ella. I'm glad she's studying Thai just as Lisa told her.
