It had been a week since the volleyball camp and Oikawa hurting himself. You made sure that he got at least a little bit of proper rest before you guys would go on your next date Oikawa so seriously asked you out on and well, today is that day! But there was one problem...

The night before, you ended up waking up in the middle of the night feeling sick. Your nose was all red from how many tissues you had to use and the constant headache was just unbearable as it had kept you up all night, preventing you from getting you very valued sleep.

Eventually durning the night you were able to fall asleep-and not wake up until the next day- after taking some medicine for the congestion and pain.

As you woke up the next morning, the first thing you did was groan. Pulling to covers over your head, you closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around yourself, shivering.

After laying fully underneath your covers for awhile, your eyes shot open and you jolted up remembering that today was that date. It was something you would never forget but after not getting much sleep and feeling sick, it was not on your mind when you had woken up.

Quickly snatching your phone off the nightstand and unplugging it, your e/c eyes widened in panic when you saw what time it was and a text message from Oikawa saying he was on his way to pick you up. "Have I really been in bed that long?!" You exclaimed. Your mind was in a panic. What were you going to do? You did not have time to tell Oikawa and definitely did not want to let him down.

All the jumbled thoughts in the your head were put to a halt when the door bell rang. "Crap..." you mumbled to yourself, running your hand through your hair.

You stood up, but quickly put your hand on your nightstand after feeling a bit lightheaded. Shaking your head, you exited your room and quickly made your way to the front door where Oikawa is waiting. You gulped, feeling guilty about everything. Opening the door, you were greeted with the handsome setter -who by the way worse his glasses. Then there was you, still in your pajamas.

"I can ex-'' only you seemed to interrupted yourself with a sneeze.

"Are you okay?" Oikawa asked with a worried look now plastered on his face. "You don't sound too good..." Oikawa stepped inside your house, closing the door. "Here, let's get you back to bed."

"I'm sorry Oikawa, I would have texted you but-'' a gasp escaped your lips when he suddenly picked you up. "O-Oikawa! I can w-walk you know..." a blush crept onto your cheeks. The felling of being in Oikawa's arms was just the absolute best and you missed it after what had happened at camp.

"I know, so where is your room?" He asked you, looking down at your flustered face.

"Down the hall, the second door on the left." You answered quietly. You knew that there was no negotiating with Oikawa so you just let him do what he wants.

The male followed the direction you gave him, and he walked into your room, setting you down on the bed. Oikawa pulled up the f/c comforter on you and then patted your head.

"I'm sorry you aren't feeling well Y/N." Your 'date' said, stroking his hands through your hair. You would hate to admit it, but you were really enjoying this moment and comfort.

"You're not the one who needs to apologize..." you did not intend to have your voice come out so quietly , but being sick, it is sometimes hard to have to energy to do anything. "I was excited for today." Sighing, you averted your eyes to the ceiling. Something about looking at Oikawa's soft smile and gentle eyes made you feel all weird and giddy on the inside. "B-but you probably shouldn't be here. I don't want you to get sick or anything."

A small laugh came from the other when you had said that. "Well that's just too bad. I'm going to stay here and take good care of you." The brunette then placed his index finger over your lips. "And I won't be changing my mind."

Normally you would protest to something like that. You honestly felt bad and felt sorry to Oikawa. The last thing you want from this is to get your date sick from taking care of you. Instead of expressing your thoughts, you just nodded your head and sighed.

The setter sat down on the edge of the bed and poked your cheek. "I'm sure with me being here, you'll feel better in no time." Oikawa said confidently, causing you to roll your eyes but also causing a small smile to appear.

"Well...thanks, I guess?" You chuckled a bit, shaking your head. "By the way, how is your knee?"

"My knee is feeling all better after you took care of me at camp." Ah yes, here comes to teasing. "So that's why I'm going to take care of you. To make you feel better as soon as possible." The volleyball player winked.

Hearing all these words from Oikawa, seeing all these soft and sweet expressions and his caring actions...you felt so thankful for him. The butterflies on your stomach had not gone away since he had arrived. You felt as if you were unraveling different parts of Oikawa, seeing all these soft sides.

"You know Oikawa...I just want to say thank you for everything you have done for me in the past month or two we have started hanging out." You said softly, bringing your eyes back to his. "You have helped me become stronger and happier." After having to quit volleyball, life just felt empty, and something felt missing. Seeing teams all play together made you sad, wishing you had that again but now you did. And it is thanks to Oikawa. "Thanks for giving me happy moments and for giving me a team again."

Oikawa listened to your words carefully, eyes widening in surprise. 'Have I really done all that for you?' He questioned himself mentally. Now it was his turn for his cheeks to get red but his smile still remained.

The setter placed one of his hands next to your head and the other on your cheek. Oikawa leaned down and finally did it. He kissed you.
