Your alarm went off which was probably the sound you hated most in this world. Groaning, you sat up and quickly turned it off. The first thing that went through your head was Oikawa. Sighing, you quickly got out of bed and got ready. During that time you texted his coach what happened. You had figured not to do it last night because he was probably sleeping. The last thing you did was slip on your shoes, which were the same blue as Seijoh's colors. You quickly made your way over to Oikawa's room, knocking on the door. Of course the person that answered was Iwaizumi. "Hey (Y/N), I already yelled at him for today. Make sure to take care of that big baby. I'm going to get breakfast and then get to practicing." Iwaizumi held the door open for you to walk in.
"Got it, don't worry too much I'll handle him for today. Work hard like always!" You shouted as Iwaizumi left the room. Sighing, you turned to the brunette who was at first just staring at you.
"Hey! Why do you guys talk about me like I'm a baby?" He whined like a little kid.
"Because you are one." You said bluntly, walking over to the captain. You pulled over a chair that was seated at a desk in the room, placing it next to the side of the bed Oikawa was on and sat down.
After a few moments of silence, Oikawa decided to speak up again. This time though, it was not anything think teasing. For now at least.
"I want to play." He sighed, turning over to lay on his side so he was now facing you. "But I know it's my fault..." he mumbled the last last part. You could tell that if anything, Oikawa was mostly frustrated even if he was good at hiding it in this moment.
"I know Oikawa, but there a difference between practicing and overworking, and I know you know that." You thought back to conversations you have had with him in the past, and the last time you caught him overworking himself. "I also know that you know I'm a living example of what could happen if you don't give yourself a break." Saying that last statement hurt, but it was only the truth.
You reached out to grab his hand, but stopped when you heard his tone suddenly shift. His frustration was slowly coming out. "I know (Y/N), you can stop scolding me." Ouch. That stung. That stung really bad.
You opening your mouth to say something. If you really wanted to, you would have yelled at him but kept quiet. You knew that was not the solution. Your friendship with him mostly consistent of harmless teasing and messing with each other and some mutual flirting, but never has he gotten upset with you.
Standing up, you took a glance at his furrowed eyebrows and then looked away. "I'll be back. I'll get you some breakfast." And with that, you left his room. "I can't believe him..." you mumbled to yourself, making your way to the dining area.
When you arrived, you greeted the players and then quickly went to make Oikawa plate. There were a lot of things, but something you definitely had to grab was a bag of milk bread. You were thankful you were able to get the food in time because all those players eat so much.
You made your way back to Oikawa's room, not really even wanting to go in there. "Will I even be able to help him?" You whispered to yourself. What was this feeling that was coming back again? Discourage. Shaking it off, you opened the door and walked back over to him. Though you hated to admit it, it made you happen when his eyes seemed to light up at the sight of the milk bread. "Here, sit up so you can eat." Placing the food in his lap first, you then placed your hand on his back as he got up. Of course he did not need help sitting up, but it was more like an instinct to just simply help.
"Thanks (Y/N), I really...REALLY like milk bread." Of course, that was the first think he started to eat. It seemed like for now, that milk bread was able to make him feel a bit better which was relieving.
"Well I'm happy you seem to like milk bread...I see you eat it a lot so I figured I would grab some to go along with the rest of your food." At lunch he always have milk bread, same with the days he would walk you home. On the way he would just pull some out and eat it.
Oikawa finished chewing and then swallowed before speaking once again. "Also...you can scold me. I know I deserve it." He sighed, thinking about what he said and last night. Only then did he smirk, which is never a good sign.
"Thinking about last night, do you remember what you did?" Oh that's typically look on his face...it made you cringe on the inside.
"Um, caught you and then helped you up here?" You questioned. Of course you remember when you both hugged and when you kissed his head but when he says 'last night' the main thing you think of was how he got hurt.
"No!" He whined. "You kissed my head, remember?!" Now instead of a smirk, he simply looked offended which was hilarious. "Look (Y/N), I know you are falling for me. Why don't you just admit it." He huffed, crossing his arms.
"O-Oikawa! Why do you always have to mention things like this?" You sighed, a pink hue coming onto your cheeks.
"We also had a moment last night when we hugged." Oikawa now looked like he was fantasying. "Don't you want to hug me now? My knee is still in pain." He had a 'hurt' look on his face.
"Oikawa Tooru!" You shouted, standing up in front of him. "I'll have you know I-'' and that is when he took action. That sly setter grabbed you, and once again brought you into a hug.
What was this? A feeling you've felt before around him only came back ten times stronger. Your heart felt like it was beating out of your chest with his muscular arms wrapped around you. Your stomach felt all funny. It was only around him.
Right now you had only one thought going through your head.
'Crap...I really am falling for him.'
