Oikawa was on his way home from practicing. The volleyball captain stayed later than his teammates, feeling as if he needed to work harder because of his injury. Ignoring the pain in his right knee, he continued to walk home. "Don't be pathetic, don't let people and yourself down." He told himself, walking down the side walk. In the distance he could hear a sound of a ball hitting the ground. Looking over, he saw a girl at the park, alone, playing with a volleyball. She did not seem to notice the male as she continued to toss the ball by herself.

"Hmm fangirl perhaps?" Oikawa whispered to himself, walking over to approached the girl. She went to Aobajohsai considering the uniform she was wearing. "What's a pretty girl like you doing alone at night?" Oikawa smirked, looking down at you.

You let the ball drop to the ground when you hear a voice. Turning you head, you faced the one and only Oikawa. "Uh, plying volleyball?" You said awkwardly, kneeling down and picking up your ball. You were very confused on why Oikawa was even here talking to you. "My name is (Y/N) by the way, I'm in some of your classes but you probably didn't know that." You said, wanting to laugh when he looked slightly guilty about what you said.

"Ah, well I'm Oikawa, but of course you already knew that." He 'introduced' himself, trying to stay confident. He did have to admit, he felt a bit bad for not knowing who this girl is.

"Well it's nice to officially meet you." And with that, you walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder. "By the way Oikawa, if you were wondering, no I'm not one of your fangirls." You stepped back and gave him a teasing wink. "Well anyway, I'll be off. See you tomorrow at school." You slung your backpack over your shoulder and started to leave. 'Weird' you thought to yourself. You had to admit, Oikawa is very handsome, and very talented when it comes to volleyball but when it came to his fangirls, all his stupid fake smiles and flirting was definitely not attractive to you.

"W-wait!" The setter yells out, running up to you now walking by your side. "Let me walk you home, it's not safe to be alone this late." Oikawa felt a bit ticked that you were not obsessing over him so he was going to try his best to make you like the other girls. After all, he was not used to girls acting 'normal' about him.

"Sure, why not. Just don't tell all your girlfriends because then I might get jumped." You joked, yawning. It was a long day today, and all you wanted to do was shower, and then jump into your nice and comfortable bed.

Oikawa huffed at your comment. "Hey! I don't have girlfriends." He exclaimed, crossing his arms over his chest. You raised and eyebrow, giving him an 'uh huh' look.

"Well, fangirls. You know what I mean." Playfully, you rolled your eyes. You did not dislike Oikawa nor did you like him. He was just another person to you that you have yet to get to know. Though you already knew a lot about his personality because of his popularity.

Your house was not too far from the park you were at so it did not take too long to arrived. "Well anyway, thanks Oikawa. But really, if I'm ever in danger at night, it's probably your fangirls coming to kill me."

He huffed and ignored you comment, as you went to walk in your house, he then decided to speak. "Wait (Y/N)! Let me get your number." Oikawa said with once again, a proud and smug look on his face. It made you cringe.

"Uh, sure." You grabbed his phone, putting in your number and name. "Here you go!" You handed his phone back to him and smiled a little. "Be safe on your way home."

"I will. I don't live too far from here." Oikawa reassured. Giving him a wave, you walked into your house, signing when you made it inside.

"How weird..." you mumbled, scrunching up your face. "Oh whatever, he's just got a big head.

After taking a shower, (Y/N) picked up her phone, seeing a text message from an unknown number.

'Hey! It's Oikawa. I got home safe Incase you were wondering ;) have sweet dreams tonight (Y/N)'

You rolled your eyes at the message, quickly sending him one back.

'Goodnight, thank for walking he home. Don't have any nightmares about your fangirls.'

And with that, you walked into your room, throwing your phone on the bed and then changed into some comfortable clothes to sleep in.

A/N: I haven't wrote fan fiction in so long! Haikyuu has been motivating me for some reason to write because I just love my boys so much. Enjoy :)
