"Yamaguchi?!" He exclaimed!
The blonde gave a blank stare in both confusion and a loss of words. Tadashi gulped nervously, suddenly wondering if this was the right decision.
'Welp, it's too late to go back now!' He thought.
"Uhm, ye-yeah! You looked stressed and I just maybe wanted to like uhm, talk I guess. If you want to, that is." Yamaguchi stuttered.
Tsukishima seemed torn between something and just stared at Yamaguchi, eyes still slightly read and face teary.
Yamaguchi was about to just stand up because it seemed as if he didn't want to talk, Tsukishima wasn't saying anything and he was starting to feel awkward just sitting there.
In one quick second, Tsukishima's arm wrapped around him and he nuzzled his head into the crook of Tadashi's shoulder. He was confused, but hugged back.
"I'm really sorry Yama. I-I should have asked first." He muffled into Yamaguchi's shirt.
"Huh?" The green haired boy broke the hug, making Tsukishima look him in the eyes.
"Why are you sorry? I mean, I should have talked to you and explained that I was nervous instead of running away. I made you think this was your fault because I couldn't communicate! I'm really sorry Tsukki." Yamaguchi explained.
"B-but Yama! I didn't ask you and I put you into an uncomfortable situation that made you feel like you HAD to run away. I shouldn't have just gone in for a kiss without knowing how you felt. I'm sorry Yama."
Yamaguchi was silent for a second before he started giggling which turned into laughter. Tsukishima was confused, yes, but eventually the freckled boy's laugh became contagious and he started to laugh along with him.
"Okay, okay, how about it's neither of our faults and in the future, we communicate better. This was all just a big misunderstanding anyways!" Yamaguchi proposed once his laughter died down.
"You mean, you still want to go out?" Tsukishima asked with a hopeful expression.
"Of course! I wasn't going to stop dating you because of a simple misunderstanding! Unless you didn't want to-" He started but was cut off.
"No! I mean, no, I don't want to stop going out." He blushed lightly at his outburst.
Yamaguchi laughed and smiled brightly.
"Glad to hear, do you wanna eat dinner? It's probably around 5:30 already and I haven't eaten since breakfast."
"Lead the way, Yama." Tsukishima's lips raised in a slight smile and gestured for Yamaguchi to get up and start walking.
Kuroo and Oikawa had just finished practicing and were starting to get a little hungry, meaning it was time for dinner and time to put their plan into action.
"You think they're still sulking?" Kuroo questioned as he shut the gym door closed.
"Hmm, knowing them, probably." Oikawa responded.
The black haired boy nodded his head in agreement and the two third years went off to find the younger students.
"I'll go get Tsukishima, you go get Yamaguchi." Oikawa agreed and they split off into different directions.
Oikawa walked towards the tree where he last left Yamaguchi. He expected to see a familiar freckled face looking extremely upset, but alas, no one was there. The brunette looked around the area confused, trying to see if he could locate the younger but yet again, he didn't see anyone else.
'I wonder where he ran off to.' Oikawa thought.
His best bet was to try and find Kuroo to see if maybe Tsukishima had gone missing as well. Oikawa retraced his steps, back to where he and Kuroo split off. He followed the direction Kuroo went, hoping to find his dark haired friend, and he did, only the other was crouching behind a bush, eavesdropping on a conversation.
Oikawa crept up behind Kuroo and crouched down next to him.
"What are you doing Ku-" He started whispering, but was cut off.
"Shhh, we don't want them to hear us!" Kuroo whisper-yelled before continuing to listen.
Oikawa rolled his eyes, but looked out from behind the bush to see Tsukishima and Yamaguchi having a perfectly normal conversation. Kuroo and Oikawa confusedly listened and watched as the two seemed to be blaming themselves for the previous incident.
"-put you into an uncomfortable situation that made you feel like you HAD to run away. I shouldn't have just gone in for a kiss without knowing how you felt. I'm sorry Yama." They heard Tsukishima say.
It was almost amusing to see the usually cold and emotionless blonde become the complete opposite, emotional and considerate in just a few minutes. They continued to watch until the first years chatted and sorted out their disagreement before they stood up to go and eat dinner.
"I guess we don't need to try and force them to make up." Oikawa giggled and they both stood up from behind the bush once the other two were out of sight.
"I guess not. You wanna go get dinner now? Bokuto, Akaashi and Kenma should be there already. You can bring Iwaizumi too." Kuroo responded.
Oikawa nodded and the two boys walked towards the cafeteria.
