About a week later and it was already almost time for the training camp to end. The teams only had 4 more days which meant Tsukishima and Yamaguchi had a limited amount of time to resolve their mutual pinning. Tsukishima, unknowing of Yamaguchi's feelings and plan to confess, was stressing out over the fact that he was going to have to tell Yamaguchi how he felt within a day.

On the other hand, Yamaguchi was constantly getting advice and tips from Oikawa and the rest of the team. Yamaguchi hadn't really wanted every single person on his team to know that he was bisexual and had a fat crush on Nekomas first year middle blocker but Oikawa accidentally blabbed one night as they were getting ready for bed.

Of course, they were all supportive and were trying to help Yamaguchi with his boy problems but most of them didn't have the best advice.

"Yama-Chan! I just had the most perfect idea for you to confess! You should totally write a sappy love poem and give it to him! Oh my goodness that would be just like in the movies!" Oikawa squealed happily one night.

"I- uh, thank you for the suggestion but I don't think that love poems are really my style." Yamaguchi replied, trying to be nice.

Oikawa sulked and walked away with his head fallen, but Yamaguchi knew that it wouldn't be long before he came back with another idea.

The whole team seemed invested with Yamaguchi's relationship and even Kyotani tried helping, though it didn't seem like any of this stuff would be useful. Yamaguchi was quietly pouting alone in the grass, attempting to come up with a plan that wouldn't end up scare Tsukishima away.

"Ahem, Yamaguchi?" A voice asked.

Yamaguchi sat up quickly and spun his head around.

"Oh, hello Yahaba! Can I help you?" Yamaguchi asked cheerfully.

"Well I was hoping I could help you actually, mind if I sit?"

Yamaguchi tilted his head in confusion, slightly resembling a dog but patted the seat next to him, signaling to the older to have a seat.

"I know you've had a lot on your mind with you know, the whole confession thing, and I've noticed the team's advice isn't very good but I have an idea." Yahaba started and looked at Yamaguchi.

The younger nodded his head, signaling to Yahaba that he could continue.

"Just, ask him." He stated simply, making Yamaguchi slightly confused.

"I mean yeah that was kinda the plan." He laughed as he rubbed the back of his head.

Yahaba laughed a little bit as well.

"Well yes but that's not really what I meant. Just talk to him. Go up to Tsukishima and tell him how you feel, there really isn't a need for an over the top plan."

Somehow, Yamaguchi hadn't considered that to be a possibility. Oikawa had made it seem as the most important thing in the world and one of his idea's even included fireworks (it was shot down quickly by Iwaizumi).

"Hey, that's not a bad idea! Thank you Yahaba-San!" Yamaguchi burst up from the grass and started to run to their team room so he could start his plan.

"Glad I could help!" The older boy yelled towards Yamaguchi with a smile.

As soon as Yamaguchi slid into his room, he started to hatch his plan.

'Maybe at breakfast? No, we'll both be too sleepy. I think lunch will be the best option. Gosh I hope he accepts!" Yamaguchi thought to himself.

Tsukishima was doing the exact same thing as Yamaguchi, preparing to confess. No one knew that he was going to do it, not even Kuroo or Bokuto, but he didn't feel like embarrassing himself and especially if Yamaguchi said no.

'He won't say no, right? Don't chicken out Kei, he seems to like you. Lunch will be the best time to do it considering the fact we spend it away from other people so it will just be the two of us. Ok then, tomorrow is game day.' Tsukishima thought, fighting a blush that threatened to cross his face.

Three more days until the training camp would come to an end. It's almost laughable at how close someone cold hearted like Tsukishima and someone bright and bubbly like Yamaguchi could become.

The two start their morning just as they have been for the last two weeks by walking to get breakfast together only this time there was an unwanted tension in the air. Both were as nervous as can be, only Tsukishima did a better job of keeping his emotions hidden.

"So, uh how have you been Tsukishima?" Yamaguchi asked, attempting to cure the situation with a little small talk.

"Oh, fine. What about you?"

"That's great! I have also been fine as well!" Yamaguchi said in nervous manor as he plastered on a wobbly smile.

"Good." Tsukishima resolved blandly, starting to pick up on Yamaguchi's strange behavior.

"Ah well it looks like we're here! Let's go get our food!" Yamaguchi said, again trying to make the situation more comfortable.

Tsukishima nodded slowly, trying to read what his friend was thinking, but it was no use.

They walked over to where the food was being served and the smell of miso-soup ran around the air with a slight scent of pickle accompanying it. The two boys grabbed the delicious food and went to take a seat at their table. There was an awkward silence that rang around them for the entire time, with attempts at small talk that never actually turned into a conversation.

Kuroo and Bokuto were low key watching the two friends as they didn't hear Tsukishima's witty comments or Yamaguchi's stories. They waited until it was time for practice and Yamaguchi raced off.

"Bro, did you and freckles have a fight?" Kurro asked with a raised eyebrow and Tsukishima rolled his eyes.

"No, unlike you two we know how to keep our mouths shut!" He exclaimed with an annoyed tone.

"But Kuroo has a point though, there was a very small amount of talking going on between you two!" Bokuto added in.

Tsukishima sighed and stood up, leaving without another word.

Finally, the awaited time has arrived. Lunch. For the time spent practicing, the two boys were terrified of even speaking to each other. Yamaguchi was stressed enough before but now that it was actually about to happen he felt as if he was gonna puke.

The two friends met up at the same spot they usually did and grabbed the food that was being served today. And just as usual, they sat down at the same spot next to the building.

Yamaguchi's mouth wanted to open and talk to Tsukishima but it couldn't. It kept opening and closing trying to find the right words but nothing he thought of sounded good enough.

Tsukishima was slightly panicking. Ok maybe more than a little bit. He was trying to come up with words in his head to express himself but it wasn't something that came easily to him.

'Come on Kei! You always have everything planned out why not now? I'm such an idiot!" He thought.

They both took a deep breath at the same time, trying to collect themselves. Before they both finally spoke,

"I have something to tell you!"

A/N

It's sad to think that this story is almost over. Probably one or two more chapter and then maybe an extra. I hope you have been enjoying the story so far and thanks for keeping up with it! I've noticed each chapter is getting less and less views which is totally fine and understandable as I'm new to writing and it's not the best but still thank you for reading! And also if you vote. But tbh even seeing that my story is being seen makes me happy!
