At one point I heard "Kids I'm sorry-" It was cut off from hearing the kids hysterically sob.
Recovery girl came out of the room and shut the door behind her, silencing the kid's cries.
"Dabi...hawks-"
I didn't hear the rest as I felt my world fall apart.
I accused him of cheating.
I hurt him.
All he did was wait for me, he had my children and patiently waited for me to come back.
He loved me.
But what did I repay him with?
Death.
✨In the room where Hawks was being saved✨
*hawks Pov*
I slowly regained consciousness and I started to open my opens, being blinded by a bright light. Was I dead?
I heard a sigh of relief and I looked toward the sound and saw recovery girl with a worried look on her face.
"Thank god you're okay! For a minute it seemed like you wouldn't make it..." she said
I tried to sit up but felt extreme pain and I inhaled sharply.
"Don't move yet, you need a little bit of rest, actually a lot of rest...in the meantime, you can comfort them."
I looked at her confused before she stepped aside to reveal my children afloat behind her. My children looked terrified.
I teared up and held my arms out for them "Kids I'm sorry you had to see me like this." I spoke ashamed of myself for allowing my kids to witness this.
They started bawling their eyes out as they flew straight into my arms, I winced from the contact but I hugged them tightly repeatedly telling them that I loved them and that I was sorry.
*recovery girl's POV* (surprise shawtyyyy)
I smiled watching Hawks have a moment with his kids before I stepped out to tell Dabi the news.
I left the room and closed the door behind me to give them privacy.
"Dabi...hawks is- THE HELL? I AINT EVEN TELL YOU THE NEWS YET"
Dabi started crying before I could tell him that Hawks was going to be okay.
He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. Well, that's something you don't get to see a villain do every day.
"Is h-he okay?" He asked almost afraid of what I'd tell him.
"Yeah he's fine...you can head inside and talk. I'll wait out here"
Dabi shot up and gave me a quick thank you before dashing into the room and slamming the door behind him.
I sighed "What a chaotic ass family," I said as I slid down against the wall.
*Dabi's POV*
I walked in and stood there staring at them.
Hawks looked at me afraid and it made my heart hurt.
The one with red hair spoke up while wiping his tears "Mama! He's the one who looks like Papa! He helped you!" He pointed at me.
Hawks looked at me surprised but didn't say anything.
"Hawks..." I stepped closer and saw him flinch as he pulled the kids closer to him.
I froze in place and I realized that I messed up really badly.
I dropped to my knees and looked down "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was wrong, I shouldn't- I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions!" I cried out
I looked up to see Hawks crying and I teared up too "My love, I'm sorry, Please give me another chance." I begged.
Hawks whimpered before speaking "T-there y-yours...your kids Toya...not Endeavor's" he sounded like he was trying to convince me but I knew they were mine. That's something I should've known from the start.
I stood and rushed over to him "I-I know they're mine, I know." I pulled all three of them into a hug "...I know."
Hawks continued to sob for another 5 minutes before pulling away to wipe his tears.
The red-haired boy spoke up again "Are you okay, Momma?" Hawks nodded before kissing his forehead.
The blonde and white-haired boy spoke up "...so he really is dad?..."
This time both boys stared at me, one with curiosity and the other had a serious expression.
'Dam he really is my kid' I thought.
Hawks sniffled "He is" Hawks looked at me and gave me a loving smile "Your dad has finally returned home to us."
"I'm home."
