Chapter 3
Running up the cemented steps and through the schools glass doors, I searched for the bronze haired boy. Oh, he was in for a big surprise!
When I found him near his locker surrounded by two of his friends, Mark and Dwain, I marched right up to them all.
I flung my hand in the air and said, "Scatter!" They looked at their friend, shrugged, and obeyed my order; leaving us to be, in a way, alone.
Even though random students passed by us in the hall, it didn't bother me much. No one really paid attention to me unless I'd get in a fight. And when I say fight, I don't mean like a cat-fight, I mean fist-fight!
"Why'd you do it? Do you understand that you actually hurt people with your so called little stunt?" I wasn't treating him to my kind voice, it was more like an outraged tone.
He rolled his eyes and started to massage my shoulders, trying to sooth me. "Relax; no one even suspects it was me! Seriously, no one knows but you and Mark, no biggie. Well, that is unless you tell someone, which I suggest you don't," His tone was calm and collected, like he knew I'd end up figuring out anyways.
"Don't tell me to calm down! You do realize you could get suspended for being destructive to school property!" I shrugged is big hands off of my shoulders, knowing that I didn't want to be soothed just yet. Then, realization hit me. Gosh, I'm so stupid! "That's why you weren't attending school yesterday, right?" I wiped my face with my right hand.
"Thank you captain obvious," Said he.
I rolled my eyes and said, "Next time, just be sure you don't get caught on tape! And make it less noticeable!"
He grinned at me, "Well, you didn't know it was me until yesterday, after you left school."
"No dip, Sherlock!"
Turning around and making it a mere foot away from him, he grabbed my hand and said, "Wait! You forgot to give me your goodbye hug!"
I quickly hugged his toned body and replied, "Now, goodbye Daniel!"
I walked away from my best-guy-friend and down the hall to first period, thinking about him. Why would he even want to break the big glass wall anyways? What's so important about it?
Well, I guess I don't really care anyways. I mean, it's just glass; it could easily be replaced, though the cost will probably be huge! I kind of feel sorry for the school, paying for a stupid teenagers doing. And that stupid teenager just so happens to be the schools top track star, Daniel. Oh, how some people would rather enjoy breaking the big, fragile things in life instead of enjoying the little things!
Running to the cafeteria, staring at my feet, I ran into someone. I bumped heads with them, and fell forward on top of them.
My eyes grew wide and started shouting out sorry, "Oh-mi-gosh! I'm so sorry! I swear I didn't~" That's where I stopped. I looked down into the unforgiving grey eyes. "You," I finished snidely.
I quickly jumped off of his defined chest, and landed on my knees. I started to grab all of the books and papers I had drop because of him. 'Thanks a lot for not watching where you're going!'
"Well, excuse me!" He sneered. "I was just on my way to the cafeteria!" He pointed to the direct opposite of the right way.
I rolled my eyes and snorted out, "Yeah, unless you want to go all the way around the world to get to it, I suggest you go that way." I pointed to the direction I was headed toward.
He rolled his eyes and turned around, "I'm sorry I'm NEW!"
He turned down toward a left hallway, again going the opposite direction. I laughed when I saw him pass my vision and said, "I was checking out the hallway, okay!"
