Yumi's POV

We've been training for a bit. "You'd be a great teacher." I say. "Thanks but this is really simple." Asahi says. "Maybe but to others this is probably difficult. I chose you to teach me because you make things easy to understand when it comes to volleyball plus you're the ace and all." I say. "Right." He says.

It's silent between us. "You wanna talk about it." I ask. "No it's fine." He says looking away. I take his hand and we get outside of the gym I shut the door. "We need to though. You and me both know well that this will be a problem later." I say.

He sits on the steps. I sit next to him. "It's fine this is on me. I did this to myself. I waited too long. I was scared to tell you how I felt. It's just you could have done so much better than me. I'd protect you and love you of course but I felt like you deserved more than that. Every time I thought of asking you all these negative thoughts came to mind. I already know what you're gonna say. You're going to try to cheer me up. It won't matter though cause I won't have you. I'm not saying that I can't be happy without you it's just. When I'm with you everything feels right. Like nothing could go wrong or be so bad. I don't know what it is about you. You just make everything better. I do have regrets yeah. That's on me though. So you don't need to make me feel better about this whole situation. I'm happy that you're happy. It's what I want most. To see you smile and be happy. It's one of my favorite things." He says with a smile looking down.

He looks at my teary face. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry!" He says panicking. I wipe my face. "It's okay. It's just I'm happy hearing how you feel. You never really open up this much. It sad hearing all of this. I think if we did talk about this sooner before any of this we would have been a good couple. Both of us were just too scared to say anything." I say. "So everything is okay now?" He asks.

"Mhm." I say. "I'll get use to it. If it means seeing you happy then that's fine by me. Although I do want to say something wrong and out of character I'll behave." He says. "What is that?" I ask. "I'm not saying I want this engagement or marriage to fail. It's just I'll be there for you if you need me for anything. Take that how you want to." He says. "Asahi." I say blushing.

"It's true though." He says. "I guess that's okay." I say. "I'm going to voice my opinion more. You were what I wanted most so that was basically a hard pill to swallow. If I just stay silent and nervous about a situation then I'll live a life full of regret." He says. "Good I hope you live a life with no regrets." I say with a smile. He smiles back.

"Now I'm better." He says. He gets up. "Let's get a few more spikes in before it's time to leave." He says putting a hand out to me. I take it. He pulls me to him and kisses my hand.

I blush from the quick motion. "I'll always love you." He says then sets me down. He goes back in.

Time skip

It's time to go. "Practice was intense today. Who knew we needed so much work." Daichi says. "We did but we did make some improvements. They need some work but luckily we have a team so easy work. It's a good thing we all have are own specialties" I say. "Yeah we'll be better in no time. Especially with coach Ukai's help." Suga says. "So um I may have over heard your conversation from outside of the gym. Are you guys really okay?" Daichi asks.

"Yeah." Asahi says. "You are so nosy." Suga says. "Yes we're all good." I say. "Okay." Daichi says. "So what exactly did you guys do while you were gone?" Suga asks.

"I stayed at home practicing drills by myself. It didn't feel right practicing with Nekoma." Daichi says. "I was practicing with Nekoma. Using their gym to practice in. Plus they let me play with them. That was nice playing against opponents. I did have to get use to them. I tried my best to think of them as you guys. Most of them act like you guys so it wasn't that hard. I'm use to them so it maybe hard to grow out of. They play different compared to us more in sync I guess. I think once we get more practice and our strategies together we'll be better than what we are now." I say.

"You always find away to compliment others with out trying." Suga says. "It's true though. They have themselves put together better than us. Right now we only have Hinata and Kageyama as our best strategy. That isn't really fair to everyone else. They have their quick attack. Our whole game plan really only revolves around that attack. We can't just rely on that. We need to think of the glass half empty at times. It's hard for me to do that but it's something I need to learn. If we rely on that then we're not really improving ourselves. Everything has a cause and effect. We lose one part then it's game over. If we all improve then chances are lower of us failing. You third years don't want to say we got through nationals because of the firsts years attack only. If anything you should want to work harder. This is your last year. Your final chance to go to nationals. If I were you I'd want to go out with a bang. It is your option though of how you want to play." I say.

"Obviously we won't let that happen now. You make it sound like we'll die after this." Daichi says. "Well I'm just saying. It'll be hard playing volleyball with you working all the time. That is if your old bones can handle it." I say.

"We're only a year older than you." Suga says. "True but you're leaving high school making you old." I say. Daichi rolls his eyes. Asahi sighs. "That's why I'm thinking about something." I say.

"About what?" Suga asks. "Scheduling days we can play as a team once we're out of highschool. It's not like we can't play anymore. It's just difficult to get everyone together is all. So will you be up for it." I say. They all nod. "Good I hope you keep that answer when the time comes." I say.
