Time skip past weekend

Daichi's POV

Yumi's coming back today. I know that she's still hurting though. I know it'll be super awkward. "So um are you coming to the club room before class starts?" I ask. "No I'm gonna get to class why?" She asks. "Just wondering." I say. "Do you think Asahi will leave again? This time because of me?" She asks.

"If he does then I'll talk to him. I don't want it to be weird even though I know it will so just try to act like it never happened and maybe it won't be." I say. "Okay." She says. "Wanna get some donuts?" I ask. "Mhm." I say.

Time skip to clubroom

"Yumi's coming back today." I tell Suga. "Really?" He asks. I nod. "I think it's best we do another study hall. We should try to keep them apart for now." I say. "Okay the members could really use it anyway." He says.

Yumi's POV

I make my way to class. I see Asahi from a distance but keep moving. This will be harder than expected. I hold my books close to my chest. It'll feel lonely without him walking me to class and stuff. We can't talk to each other not right now. I really just want to stay at home and never leave.

Another reason why is the same morning routine. Some guy tries to talk to me. "You just don't get it do you?" I hear Asahi say. I stop in my tracks. "She's not interested so give up. Everyday you idiots try to talk to her but she clearly doesn't want to." He says. He's still protecting me. I don't understand.

"Well maybe if you'd give us a chance to she might." A guy says. Why is he still doing this? "That'll never happen. I overhear you four talking and it isn't very gentlemanly. So you'll never get her attention and she'll never talk to you. Especially with me by her side." He says. My eyes widen. Why do you still care? Why would you want that?

"So back off and know your place. She's way out of your leagues if you haven't noticed so don't bother." He says. His footsteps come near me. He takes my hand and walks me to my class quickly. I struggle to keep up. He gets me to me around the corner. He leans down a bit and puts his hands on the wall beside me caging me in. What is this side?

I just stare at him. "I know that you're choosing him over me." He says. "Then why are you still acting this way? Why are you still protecting me?" I ask. "Because it's what I've always done. I won't stop no matter what. Even though you aren't mine. That things are awkward and messy right now. I'll always protect you. I know you can protect yourself. I still feel the need to protect you so I will. I won't back down for this. I'm not taking this back." He says. This side of him is new. I've never seen it before. I do like it though. I hold his cheeks and tippy toe to kiss his forehead.

He just stares at me. "Thank you for not taking it back." I say. "You make me want to kiss you more now you know that." He says. "Maybe you could act like it to get them to back off." I say. "You'd have to kiss me back." He says. "Just this once." I say. He holds my cheek and kisses me.

I kiss him back. Why does this feel different from last time? I wrap my arms around his neck and he picks me up and holds me close. He french kisses me and I french kiss him back. He's kissing me better than before. He pulls away. "That'd convince anyone." He says.

I nod. "Now let's get you to class." He says and puts me down. Why not act like this before? Why are you being so dominant now of all times? Why do I like this side of him? "Alright see you later." He says. I nod.

Time skip to club

The boys groan from having to study. "Yumi told me that if you can't keep your grades up you'll be taken out of the club." Daichi says. "What!" They say. "It's true if you can't keep your grades up they'll take you out of the club so you'll have to focus on school. You won't be able to get into any club until they're up. So if you want to stay in the club. You should study more." I say. They all look like depressed and dead. "If you need help I'll do my best." I say. "Please help." They all say. What have I gotten myself into.
