I go out to the team. We go to a restaurant and talk for a bit. "So how'd you get so good at volley ball?" Yamamoto asks. "I've been practicing since I was a kid going all out to keep up. I guess I got really good over time. Although that game was a fluke for me." I say. "How is that?" Kuroo asks. "I don't really work well with others. I like doing things on my own. The only reason why I was able to play so well is because I was irritated and chose the right players. Since I watched the game between our schools I was able to find out who I'd work best with. I read and watched your team. Since it was a big deal to our coach and all. I watch every team that plays against us and our team. I can tell what you struggle at. What you're practicing on. Your strong points things like that. I also paid attention to your personalities. Inuokoa acts like Hinata number 10. Yamamoto acts like Tanaka number 5. Yaku kind of acts like Sugawara number 2. If I had them on my team I'd have a higher chance probably. I tested it out. I purposely sent it back to Yaku. When he keeps it in the air it's kinda of like Sugawara's style. So in away I was still trying to play with my team but it was off. Playing with other teams is hard to adjust to." I say. The just stare shocked.
My phone goes off. Ennoshita? "Who is it?" Kuroo asks. "A teammate something must be wrong." I say. I get up and and go to answer my phone. There's screaming and crying. "Yumi you're queen of the castle now please help!" He says. "Okay hold on where's Suga?" I ask.
I move from my seat. "He didn't come to practice. Daichi isn't answering his phone. So no one is here to control anything." He says. "You do know that you're going to be the next king right." I say. "Well not right now so by name you're in charge." He says. "Fine what's going on?" I ask. It's like it's getting louder. "Hinata and Kageyama are fighting Tsukishima is cheering them on Asahi is in a corner broken. Noya and Tanaka are being well Noya and Tanaka. Coach isn't here yet." He says.
I rub my face. "Go to Hinata and Kageyama. Put the phone on speaker." I say. He walks to them and puts me on speaker. "You do know that we aren't gone for good right? If Daichi finds out about you two fighting again you'll be in trouble. Suga is still there he won't stay away for long so you should be careful of that too. If you two don't behave you'll be locked out of the gym for a week." I say. "A WEEK!" They say loudly. "You heard me. You're supposed to be working as a team. This is why Nekoma will beat us again. Do you want that?" I say walking away from the table. "No but how are we supposed to even win if we aren't all together?" Hinata says.
"You need to work with what you have. Me and Daichi aren't slacking off. I've been with Nekoma all day. They were holding back on us a lot so you have lots of practicing to do. Every single one of you has something you need to improve on. You can work together and learn from each other. If Hinata and Kageyama would just listen to each other. Things will go a bit more smoothly. You may have that quick attack but you shouldn't rely on it all the time. You need to work with the other members too. Daichi and Suga won't be there next year sadly. So practice hard enough for them and me. I look forward to seeing some improvements also less fighting." I say.
"We'll do our best." Hinata says. "I guess I can try to be a bit nicer." Kageyama says. "Thank you." I say. "Okay you're off speaker now." Ennoshita says. "Okay hopefully that'll keep them cool for a bit." I say. "Thanks." He says. "No problem." I say.
"There's also something else we need to talk about." He says. "What is it?" I ask. "So me and the second years have been talking and you've been voted to be the next captain of the team for next year. I'm going to be vice president." He says. "Why me though?" I ask. "You work so well with us. You're motivating and a great player. You always know what to say. How to fix situations like just now. You can control Hinata and Kageyama. That is hard to do. So we think it's best that it should be you. That is if you still want to play then." He says.
I just think. I never thought this far. "I guess I'll keep playing but I want nothing to do with captain stuff right now. I'll find Daichi when I get home. He didn't want to practice today so it's probably best I just talk to him." I say. "Okay later Captain." He says. "Later vice captain." I say. We hang up. I go back and sit with the team.
"Should I ask if everything is okay?" Kuroo asks. "Everything's good. Number 9 and 10 were fighting again." I say. "Seriously I thought those two were joint at the hip." Kuroo says. "No not at all all they do is fight with each other. I don't know how they work together well." I say. "So what's with the high title queen of the castle." Kuroo says with a smirk. "Daichi is basically the dad of the group so that makes him king of the castle I guess. Suga is like the mom kind of. Since he isn't answering his phone and Suga isn't there. I guess I'm queen of the castle. Even though Ennoshita should be able to handle them better. He's more suitable for being the next dad. Without me knowing the second years voted me as the next captain so I guess that makes it official. Hopefully everything will be fine when we get back." I say.
