Ugh... I roll over and look at the clock on the wall. It's 3:45 am on December 21. That's the third night I haven't been able to sleep in a row. Wow, it's already been five days of rooming with Sirius. Day 12/30 almost halfway there till I can leave this place. Lily and James have been back a few times but according to Lily, it is, "unhealthy to only have me to rely on Remus. Sirius seems to be a nice boy, you need other friends too." In my opinion, she seems a bit hypocritical, honestly, a month ago she was telling me that the "horrid marauders" were boys I just simply wasn't allowed to hang around with. That being said, I have gotten quite close with Sirius and Marlene-

"No....no, stop it. Go.........get-get away," I'm pulled from my thoughts by Sirius's small whimpers. I get up and walk over to his bed,

"Sirius, Siri it's just me," he's still stuck in his nightmare, "Padfoot, you're safe. It's gonna be okay," this time I use the nickname I've heard James use for him. His eyes shoot open and before he can stop himself, he swings and almost hits me,

"Shit, I'm sorry Remus. I haven't had one that bad in a while," he starts to ramble.

"Hey, it's okay. I get them too. Do you want to talk about it?" I ask tentatively

"My parents are awful people, that pretty much sums it up. Wait- did you call me Padfoot?" damn it, I might have gotten myself in trouble there.

"Uh yeah, sorry, It's just that none of the nicknames I call you were working and I've heard James call you Padfoot. So I figured I should give it a try. Sorry-" I start to say

"It's fine, I don't mind it," he pauses for a second and I catch a mischievous glimmer in his eye, "Moony." he finishes.

"Wh-what did you just call me?"

"Moony, you've been up almost every night since I've been here staring at the sky, and in school, you're always hyper fixated on astrology. So, Moony fits you" he smirks.

"Whatever go back to sleep, Padfoot," I turn to walk back to my bed and lie down.

"Night, Moony," there's a few minutes of silence as I lay looking out the window, 4:15 am and still unable to sleep. I roll over to check on Sirius and catch him staring back at me already.

"S ev'rythin' okay?" I whisper, suddenly remembering that we're supposed to be asleep.

"Hmm? Oh yea, jus' not v'ry tired anymore," he's pulled out of his trance.

"You need sleep, just close your eyes and breath deeply," he does as I say and rolls over, a few minutes later his breathing evens and he's out cold.

"Goodnight Sirius Black," I whisper too quietly for even him to hear.

"Boys, time to get up," I hear a faint voice say.

"No thanks I think I'll just stay here," I don't even need to open my eyes to tell Sirius is the one protesting.

"Up now," that must be Tonks.

"Okay, fine, I'm up" Sirius again.

"Remus you too," I groan and put my head under my pillow.

"It's fine I'll get him up," oh fantastic, I can just hear the sarcasm in his voice. Tonks leaves the room and I sense Sirius's presence next to my bed. I only have a second to brace myself before he rips the pillow off my head and starts smacking me with it,
