I didn't forget about this, don't worry. Just got hit with a bad case of writer's block. Anyways, thanks so much for 400 reads, I love and appreciate you all.

"Hey lovebirds! Your other halves are here!" Tonks calls to me and Sirius. Ever since she got that picture of us cuddling, she's been calling us "the lovebirds." I roll my eyes and sit up trying to ignore the blush creeping up my face.
"Ok, c'mon Siri let's go see Lily and James." He groans, stretches, then gets up and starts walking to the door. When we get to the visiting area, James is hopelessly flirting with Lily, and Lily is pointedly ignoring James.

"Padfoot, you wanna make a bet?" I let him hear the smirk in my voice.

"Hmm?" he turns his head towards me.

"Those two will be dating by summer," I nod over to Lily and James.

"No way, he's been trying for years if she hasn't caved yet, she won't ever," he sighs exasperatedly. I just smirk and let him talk, he doesn't know Lily like I do. As we get closer to the pair, Lily jumps up and pulls me into a hug.

"Ugh, I've missed you. Dude, you seriously need to come home like right now," she clings to me like a lifeline and I'm reminded of how much I've missed her by my side.

"Yea, yea, I guessed I've missed you too," I tell her. She rolls her eyes before dragging me over to where Sirius and James are sitting next to each other already talking animatedly. We plop down next to them and James turns towards me.

"Hey, Remus, good to see you," he sends me a cheeky grin before Sirius starts talking again.

"So, give us all the news. What's going on at home? Or with the school? Or just at all in general? I feel so disconnected from the real world here," he adds that last part with a twinge of desperation that I understand. James smiles gently and shakes his head,

"Always one for the gossip aren't you Pads?"

"Yes, now spill," Sirius say abruptly, causing us all to laugh.

As James and Lily fill us in on all the gossip, I watch Sirius laugh or gasp or give whatever appropriate reaction to their stories. It finally clicks to me why he's perfect at the "bad boy" persona. He lives off the drama, preferably directly in the middle of it. Not only that, but he knows how to play the part, fifteen minutes ago he was curled up on a couch has asleep. Now, he's sitting in the middle of a hospital visitation room encouraging and adding to every story simply with his mannerisms. All this thinking of him as a Marauder makes me wonder what happens when we leave this place. Will we go bad to being the loud popular kid, and nerd who can't stand each other? Or will we stay friends? As much as I hate to admit it, Sirius Black is becoming one of my best friends and I don't know what I would do if he started hating me when things go back to normal.

I'm brought back to the real world by Lily subtly elbowing my ribs. James is telling some story about something Peter did during Christmas at the Pettigrew's. I glance at Lily and she furrows her brows while looking between Sirius and me. Suddenly, laughter explodes from the other two boys and Sirius is leaning on my shoulder to keep himself upright. Lily's eyes meet mine and a triumphant smirk spread across her face. My attention is returned to how Sirius and I look at the moment and how we must have been acting this whole time. A light blush dusts my cheeks the way Lily questioned me with her eyes. In a way only best friends do, her eyes asked me one question, Did you fall for him? I try my best to send the signals that no Sirius is my friend and only that. No further feelings there. Not at all. She moves her head ever so slightly and lets out a sigh. That's even to draw the boys' attention back to us and they turn to Lily.
