Chapter 37

~Undercover~

LANI POV

I wake up early and turn on the TV. Here we go again with the cable.

"Today on WGN 9 People have said they spotted Kehlani Valentino right here in Chicago. Some say she was walking around Washington Park late at night," I hear the news reporter say and my heart stops.

I turn off the TV and hop up. "Wake up bitches they know we're here," I say yelling at Madison and Angel.

"Huh," Madison says slowly opening her eyes.
"My psychopath husband is coming so get up," I say even louder and she hops up and grabs our things.

Angel also gets up and starts packing. "We can't leave no clues that we were here"

"Actually we can," I say grabbing a piece of paper. I wrote down some signs that we would be heading to Canada. I left the note on the floor and we headed to the car. I told Madison to drive and I would stay in the back until we get out of the state. We did so and made our way into Iowa.

We stopped in Iowa and got something to eat. I also decided to drive until we got into Nebraska. LA was about twenty-something hours away so we had to keep stopping.

We slept in and did the same. Stopping in states sleeping and driving until we got to  California.

We were finally here and Madison still lived with her mom so we stayed there. As soon as I seen her she hugged me. "Kehlani so good to see you," she says and then backs up.

"Aren't you missing honey bun?" she asks confused.

"Not really mom we're just having fun," Madison says hugging her mom.

"I hope you girls aren't in any trouble"

Big trouble "nope." I say to her smiling. The biggest trouble we could fucking be in. So I guess everybody knows who I am so we really have to stay undercover. It was night time so we went to bed. Madison had a big house so we all slept in different rooms. I lay down and get comfortable. I hear the door open and Angel walked in.

"What's up?" I ask confused.

"I'm scared," she says and I could see it in her eyes

"Come on," I say moving the sheets so she could come in.

She lays down with me and we go to sleep.

Sunday Morning...

I woke up laying on my back with Angel cuddling me. It was cute but weird but I guess she just needed comfort.

I gently get up trying not to wake her and walk downstairs. I walk into the kitchen and see Madison was already awake.

I grabbed a bowl. "Did you have fun last night?" She asked and I look at her confused.

"I saw you and Angel," she says smiling.

I roll my eyes "She was scared that's it" I say pouring myself some lucky charms.

"Sure," she said and I slammed the fridge door.
"Don't test me Madi" I say annoyed. I had an attitude because I hate when Madison does that. Thinks she knows everything. It makes me want to a choke her.

She puts her hands up "Fine I'll stop"

I pour some milk and put it back.

"We gotta leave today," I say sitting by her.

"Why?"
